Yea, the consoles are probably a factor in why people don't go to the arcades as much.

Pump it Up has stupid jumps where you have to hit three arrows with your feet or you're screwed.

Parts of IGYAML CZ and JTP CZ would be really stupid to try to do without using hands.

Almost every other day there is someone some where posting "Is DDR Dead?!?!"

No, It's not gonna die! Deal with it people!

Theres always a newb somewhere whoring out captain jack and crash. Theres always gonna be that drunk guy who thinks he's soooooo funny up on the "dancing game".

If DDR has been dying, it's been dying since the first day someone stepped onto a dance pad.

DDR and ITG are not dead and will not be for a very VERY long time.

P.S. I'm not picking on anybody by posting this, I just hope that maybe someday people will realize this is (for the most part) a pointless topic.

noone said anything about itg being dead.
ddr is already pretty dead in japan. up until supernova ddr(non-console)has been on a decline in the us, as is the arcade scene in general.

So today while I was at school playing DDR (don't ask why) I thought I'd have a little fun. So I added in my own handplants and knee-drops. Why don't you people do the same? You know, make DDR a little more fun for yourselves, like I did.

Nobody cares about having fun with DDR anymore. All people care about are getting good scores.

Well that's stupid. Good scores are cool, but DDR is supposed to be fun.

Certainly it's impossible to have fun playing for score. Totally impossible.

IMO DDR is slowly declining in popularity

it may be due to people getting older

or people have found new or more interesting things in their lives

or....everyone is on myspace

but since ive been playing for 6 years im not gonna stop playing anytime soon. its still good to me but times are changing.

DDR wont last forever

Getting an SDG, to me, is fun. Getting a AAA, to me, is fun. AAing a Max Song, to me, is fun. Competing with my friends and comparing new scores when we get them, to me, is fun. The only people that say that playing for scores is not fun usually say so because they can't get good scores themselves.

Yeah, I've kind of moved away from home version DDR. Now I'm just waiting for the home version of ITG2 E4.gif

Around where I live, DDR is gaining a lot of popularity. I don't feel it dying anytime soon.

Besides the occasional people who come by and play out of nowhere...I say there's only about four other hardcore ddr players where I live...probably because the closet itg we have is in a different city.

True. I don't count my scores as real unless they're done at an arcade.
Although it is good for practise and such. I'd play it more but I can't frown.gif No CF

Home versions don't suck unless you can AAA everything/almost everything on them. Including doubles.
