EBA & Ouendan discussion. EBA available on US Ouendan 2!

hmm maybe i was wrong...then again, they COULD still use the same songs+tap charts(?) just with new stories.....who knows?

Well, we've now got some screenshots to go along with the story. Pictured here, you'll see the original Ouendan, the new group, and a returning "victim" that we all know. It looks like they've all grown up a little bit, too. The new group wears blue outfits, and while the original has basically the same outfits as before, their trenchcoats seem to be a little lighter in color than before.

Two songs have also been announced (Sukima Switch by Zenryoku Shounen and GOING UNDER GROUND by Vista). Things are looking good, I'll say that. I'll keep you guys updated if I hear anything else.

Heh, the kid from the 1st song is there. Bet he'll try for college, something school-related again, or applying for a job. Wonder what the ending seneario will be...

Also, will there be a girl rival squad (cuz the girls are the hardest diff.)?

Big news!

A lot of us have heard that the Elite Beat Agents and the cat are available for download in Japan on Ouendan 2. Well, for those of you that can't simply hop a plane down to Tokyo and run to a nearby DS Download station, fear not! You can get the Agents on your systems as well!

Using Action Replay (and yes, I bought one today just for this), you can unlock the Agents on your own copy of Ouendan 2!

The Game ID for Ouendan 2 is: AO2J-B9A91626

To unlock EBA Mode, enter the following code: 220D7397 00000001

You will now see a badge above the Hidden modifier. Click on this, and you will play as the Agents on all of the stages, including multiplayer. Just like the Kahn mode on EBA, the character animations and cutscenes do not change, but even that's awesome in its own way.

As for the Cat, he only appears on two stages in single player, the last two. On Countdown, he leads the rival Ouendan group in the second and third segments, while in Sekai Wa Sori Wo Ai To Yobundaze, he cheers alongside the agent. Depending on the difficulty level, he will be wearing different headgear. Not bad!

Now, be sure to save this before turning the game off. To do so, either get a high score, beat the game, or go to the options menu, click the top-middle option, then immediately back out. Now, the upgrade is permanently available on your game. Enjoy!

Also...

Rumors of Elite Beat Agents part 2 are also beginning to go the rounds. This has not been officially announced, but it seems very likely at this point. I'll keep you posted.
