Riyu Kosaka originally sang it for the Konami anime "Sky Girls". Miki Roberts just sings it in English. That's probably the difference in the JP PS2 version of SN that has 2 Baby's Tears. |
Riyu is miki just listen to both versions the only difference is that in the sky girls version she sings a little softer. | Tell ya what. Listen to the anime opening, then go listen to the game version somewhere, then you tell me. Better yet, Supernova PS2 JP list. Go to 1:20 & listen. |

She's just singing poorly in the English Baby's Tears. _________________

Don't worry, MIKI ROBERTS is RIYU KOSAKA.
Yes, I know the DDR SuperNOVA Japanese Edit off that CD is in Japanese, but they're the same person. Listen to some of Riyu's attempts at English for a better sense of this. _________________

Naoki doesn't always credit his background singers, he just makes the song itself and just wants to give himself total credit sometimes.
Paula Terry is still the vocals for songs like Can't Stop Fallin in Love and Dynamite Rave, while the male vocals are Aaron G as far as I remember for some Naoki songs like Burnin the Floor.. _________________

NAOKI just does the guitar in RED ZONE, the rest of the song is pretty much all Tatsh, vocals aside; I have no idea who the vocalist is, but its not NAOKI or Tatsh.

im confused |
For 1998, NAOKI composed the song, and the male vocals are done by Londell "Taz" Hicks, and the female vocals are done by Andrea L. Hopkins. _________________

I believe Tatsh also writes the lyrics to most, if not all, of his songs. _________________

Well, he didn't write Xepher's, I know that much. MAYA wrote the Xepher lyrics (which are actually much longer than the song itself; they had to be severely cut). _________________

Yeah I realized that too. It sounds really weird almost as if they recorded it again or did something like that. There are some parts that like sound out of tune too. It's weird. If anyone could explain that I would be a happy camper. |

Naoki is actually capable of singing, btw.
I can't remember what, but there's, like, one song in existence where he sings, and he's surprisingly good. xP _________________

I gotta hear this ... Naoki singing? Link please!
About the Baby's Tears controvesy, it is the same person IMO. I listened to the other version, and the only differences that I notice is the speed of the anime version is slower and the tone of Riyu's voice. |

I'll stop derailing this topic after this final comment:

Everything single thing Arctic Wolves said here was infallible. You should all listen to him.
Naoki also sings the background vocals in Ichizu na Koi (ä¸éãªæ ~HYPER J-EURO MIX~), which is a cover done by TÃЯRA. It's pretty hard to hear, but he's there. This one can be found in IIDX 10th style.
And for those of you who don't believe Miki Roberts is Riyu Kosaka, that must mean that you probably aren't as familiar of her singing horrible Engrish in other songs. |

KDEI/KCEH typically stepcharts to OST, where KCET actually resamples/synths the song to line it up with the stepchart. Hence the GIGANTIC difference in some songs (Miracle Moon LED Style, ANALYZE, and THE EARTH LIGHT immediately come to mind) and the way they sound. Especially when it comes to IIDX crossovers - the arcade/PS2 mixes (after MAX) sound MUCH more like their IIDX counterparts, where the X-Box ones and DDRMAX/Konamix sound more like their OST ones. Many of the differences are -very- subtle, though, like the length of the cymbal crashes in 'A', for example.
I actually LIKE the Engrish "Baby's Tears", even if it IS a grammatical trainwreck. |

Maybe she decided to try her own J-Pop band, called AfTerU.
Album out in May.
