As you know, all new members are advised to read the FAQ so that they know not to do anything stupid. Yet the link to the FAQ is one of many buttons at the top of the screen, and newbies aren't reminded to read it until they make a mistake.
What could be done to reduce this in the future is to make a sticky topic in DDR Chit Chat or a reminder in the DDRCC forum description to read the FAQ. |

When you register, it tells you to read the FAQ and gives you a link to it. People ignore the FAQ because they're lazy, not because they can't find it. _________________

So true. So true it's sad. I was a victim of this fate. That explains the 7 warning points. And they recently became 7 too, they used to be 8. It's just that, most people look at the faq button and say "Oh look, another list of rules.". And I was one of 'em. Sadly, I don't think there's anything that the admins could do to make people read it, except make an alert pop up every time you load another page telling you to go to the faq until you actually do it. But then they'd have to find a way to make 'em stay there....... |

Even if it has that pop up alert stuff, people will have those pop up blocks enable.
You can't force people to read the ,"FAQ"
The only way that may work is to make it noticeable. |

Tunnel Vision exists well outside First Person Shooters. _________________
