USB Question

I'm taking a road trip tomorrow to play ITG2 for the first time...I was wondering If I could make the folders on my USB drive and have my name and stuff all set up..Is this possible? Will it mess up when I put it in the machine? And how would I go about doing this?

You'll probably just want to leave the drive as it is and let the machine create the directories for you. When you enter your initials for the high score list the first time, it saves them to the card, and those initials will come up as the default every subsequent time you get to the name entry screen. The only things (from what I know; I'm still new to this too) you'd want to set up beforehand would be your DisplayName (which doesn't affect anything other than what's displayed in the corner beside your card icon), and edits. If you can do without these things until you get back to a computer after playing, I'd say just take your card as-is instead of mucking with it.

I'm not sure if it would work to do the DisplayName beforehand, but once you've played and had data saved to your card, open the file named "Editable.ini" in a text editor, and fill in the "DisplayName=" field in it.

I play ITG2 at PuttPutt in Lynchburg, usually once a week or so, either on Wesneday night or Saturday. Judging by your location, I'm guessing you'll be playing at VCC... I've thought about going down there sometime, but since they have a dedicated cabinet in Lynchburg, I'd rather go play at that one. If I do go to VCC sometime, I'll send to a private message beforehand.

The easiest thing to do would be to play one game of ITG2 before you go to the arcade for a long period of time. That is what I ended up doing.

Its not as simple as making a file called editable.ini and putting that field in it.

Wait, so I CAN'T make a folder called " In The Groove 2 " and put the Roxor official Edit pack in there in an " Edits " folder?

I recently formatted my drive to FAT 32 (for private reasons), so I need to go to the arcade sometime to redo all my stuff. But I can't do ^^^^ that?
