even though this is my faq, i wanted someone to clarify something.
if you are playing with a memory card, and also playing with someone who also has a memory card, and they play one of their edits, isn't it true that the edit gets transferred to your card? _________________

The .sig files are machine signed signature files that verify that the image in unaltered. It is safe to delete .sig's from images (however not recommended).
It is NOT SAFE however to delete your Stats.xml.sig, if you do that, say goodbye to your Stats.xml as well.
There is a use for every file on that drive. _________________

Ok, im going nuts....I have now gone thru three drives and nothing works consitsantly.
1. Jumpdrive Secure
2. Jumpdrive 1.1
3. Jumpdrive Sport
1. Kay, first one I alway carry. So when I discover a new ITG machine at W.E.M.'s Circuit Circus, I was ready. I put it in and acnowlaged it. I play one song and return to the song select. It now tells me it was put in too late. I try this afterwards on another round, same thing.
I find the "list". My JDS is not valid, so i decide to get a new one just for ITG. Go to B.B. and get the JD1.1 32mb.
2. Go to the arcade, set up a round. Machine does not even take notice. Try it a few times. Nothing.
Now im pissed. Find a store that sells them and get a JDSp
3a. Return hoping this will work. Turns out the same as the JDS.
Read some ore of these boards and decide to preformat.
3b. Reurn once again to find the same problems. BUT...on the third round...it works....doesnt stop after the firstsong and I actualy get in a screenshot! YAY! Continues to show my screenname through song 2...stops working after. It simply stopped noticing my card. None of this "CARD TOO LATE", just...nothing. (same as "JD1.1")
So, why is it doing this? Is it me? My cards? The machine?
Help is very appreciated. |

That sounds like the machine. If the card works once, then the card is on the whitelist, therefore usable. However, some machines have nonfunctional or unreliable USB ports. So, if it's been working on and off, that's probably the machine. _________________

Sounds like the USB drives in the machine are not fitted in securely, and it's losing connection and unmounting the device prematurely.
(I still think Roxor needs to have a better error message than 'too late'...) _________________

I've been trying mine a fair amount over the past two days and it just hasn't worked, which kind of sucks because I'm pretty confident I threw out the receipt >_<. As the FAQ says, it's hit or miss, and I guess mine is just a miss. I will continue trying though, just in case (who knows?) and if anything happens I'll make sure to post it. |
