What is ur philosophy on DDR meaning what do u think DDR stands for in ur life. What do u think it was meant for. Why do u think it was made.
Myself: I think it was created to create a fun and competitive experience for young(and older) people around the world(or in most areas). To me it keeps people happy and proud of somethig they can do.
What about u |

Yeah, DDR has more of a physical challenge than most video games, so for those of us like myself who spend most of their times in video games thinking, it's a nice change of pace
And knowing you've accomplished a physical challenge gives one a different sense of accomplishment.
I mostly play for fun though, if I compete, it's friendly competetion, usually to allow both sides a method of pushing themselves to improve. My belief with any game is that you play it until it isn't fun, and I find DDR VERY fun _________________

What's DDR to me? Well, one of my favorite hobbies. Something I should have started playing a long time ago. It's physical, competitive, and changes from all the violence-filled games (not that I'm against those kind of games, but when you see one 1st-person shooter, you've seen them all, IMO). Of course, you can't avoid the average jerk playing this, but they usually don't stay for long... _________________

I really doubt there's a video game out there that changed more lives (for the better) than DDR. Just look at Red Octane's various sites like getupmove.com for example. Lots of people lost weight, are healthier and more self confident because of this game. Plus I believe it really helps people (especially anti-social ones) to come together and enjoy each others company. Never have I seen a game bring more people together at an arcade. We're like a fun, happy, energetic, weight loss loving cult. And no, you can't join our cult.
...alright, I kid. The more the merrier! |

DDR is like killing two birds with one stone. First it satisfies my love of good video games and it also makes my get out of bed and do physical exercize. without DDR I would probably still be laying on my bed thying to uberize my characters in FF10 (Which I will get back to one day). Another good think about DDR as a video game is that there is always something you can do so the game is never over. _________________

There wasnt really a certain dream to DDR its more or less a mistake stumbled on. Just like most games from Japan. Not really set for the cash, it just probablty seemed like fun, and i bet it didn't seem so different as other japanese wierd games out today. But just by luck it cought the attention of countless people who watched, humans are always succeptible to professional body movement which they cant do themselves. And in the mind of the DDR player its not really the weightloss, its not really the fun factor, its not the repetivity, the reason we play DDR so much is the crowd. To be marvelled at, especially by those who play the game. To be a role model. To be talked about. To be a reckoned force. This is my philosophy on why we play this game. _________________

I'm going to have to agree with that. DDR is really the only thing I can do well... _________________
