This has probably been asked before, how good (compared to the Konami controllers) are the 3rd party controllers for Drummania and Guitar Freaks?

How exactly do you mod up a IIDX controller? I know insert some type of spacer under the key to make it more responsive, but how do you go about doing that? |

Does this adapter work fine with the iidx controller? I heard it works well with ddr pads, plus i will be able to get hold of this cheaply, so this is what i am looking at at the moment. I'm having trouble finding information on which adapters are comaptible...

Why are you people complaining so much about Yesasia running out of IIDX controllers when there's been a post and a copy of the same post advertising controllers for $75 from somewhere else? They've also got games for cheap; 6th Style for $58 beats the at least $65 I've seen everywhere else. Searching through that site is an exercise in irritation, but those prices are worth a few minutes of frustration.
Edit: I just placed an order. Their system is a bit weird (I hate online retailers that don't tell you shipping up front) but it seems all right. $133 for an official controller *AND* 6th Style- some of you are now willing to pay that much for the controller alone. They're going to EMail me within the next 24 hours with the shipping charge, item availability, and final payment instructions (you don't pay when you place your order, you pay after they EMail you and you can cancel at that point if you don't like it) so I'll report back. The shipping from these people would have to be pretty stupid to make any other retailer a valid option at this point- the best current eBay price for a controller and 6th Style is $195 after shipping; Japanvideogames.com hasn't told me the shipping yet but the base is $165.
Edit the Second: I suppose I'll reference the original post.

How exactly do you order from that site? There's no "add to cart" button or anything....
Also, the reason Yesasia was so great was because it was only 85 with free shipping. So far, no other site has offered free shipping for IIDX controllers. Even sites that boast a low price for the controller (such as that one at 75) still charge 20 or 30 for shipping, so in the end it's still 110-120. I don't know the shipping charge for that site, but I'm sure it's not under 20.
Alas, Yesasia is too lazy to update their site saying they don't sell them anymore, so more people will continue to be pissed off by them _________________

As for IIDX, I don't believe one exists. _________________

Granted, it's tough to beat free shipping, but $75 + $30 still beats $100 + $30.
The site isn't very advanced at all; you essentially tell them what you want and how much it is through the 'ordering' link. Then they send you shipping information and final payment instructions. Searching through it is a hassle too; they've got their products sorted by release date- if there wasn't a very basic search function on the main page I'd probably be digging for 6th Style yet. I'm probably going to get that through play-asia anyhow. The main draw of this place is the super-cheap controller.
I haven't gotten the shipping EMail yet, but it's only been seven hours. Heh.

Oh I know very well that 75 + 30 is alot better than 100 + 30, but I was just answering you on when you asked why people were complaining about Yesasia. If I'd been waiting for them to be back in stock when, in actuality, they'll never be back in stock, I'd be pissed too _________________

Japanvideogames.com had two shipping options; $23 and $28. $188 in all for controller and 6th Style to Canada.
This other place had one; $43. EMS shipping, which is apparently quick, but still really expensive. $176 for same. Sigh. I cancelled my order and reordered with just the controller (and ordered 6th from play-asia instead). So we'll see how that goes.

Trust me...Play Asia is Great when it comes to shipping orders...they mark down the value for you so when it arrives the duty is not that bad at all...
I've order over $600 US is games from them and I've never had any problems... _________________

Does anyone know when, if ever, Himeya's going back in stock with the Pop'n ASCs?
It WOULD be my luck that as soon as I get a solid month to save for their insane price for it, they go out of stock.
This time they don't even have the pre-order button like they did before, so I dunno if it'll ever be back. In that case I'll just buy the Jumbo Dome buttons from happ and use those on my homemade ASC. _________________
