None of us want the arcade DDR to die out, simply because we need it. The arcade experience is totally unlike playing it at home. No one here really wants to play DDR without the top-lights, crowds, kinship, and cool neon subwoofer tubes.
A smaller machine is a must, though. Maybe a plasma screen on top, with all the depth in the lower half for better bass. Thinner pads, too. That's all. _________________

Heh, he said 10 year old punks, not 12.
Anyways, I completely agree with changing the DDR cabinet, and all. They really should do something to make DDR even more popular, even if it means adding hand senors like in PPP. (Just a thought.)
I really don't want to see DDR go away, and it better not, at least until I get some Castlevania songs in there.
.59 is cool.
And you know something- when whoever it was said that his generation is the future of DDR, that pisses me off. You know, if it weren't for us loving and playing the game all the time, you wouldn't even have a DDREX, Max, or Max 2.
Now go play with your Tonka trucks, you bore me.
Cartoon Heroes is a lot slower in it's original form. _________________

konami should revive all the old songs we loved.... for an example my favorite song from ddr was boom boom dollar and for the ps2 they only put it on the original.... They could make an "OLDIES MIX" where they put all there original songs that everyone loved into a machine or disk but i'm not sure if they'd do it.... Also i think it'd be cool to see an Ultramix Machine |

This whole topic is a little depressing, don't you think?
I feel so bad, because I've been playing DDR since 2000, but I've only become comitted to it in the last five months or so. And here are all these people saying that the DDR Revolution seems to be close to it's end...I don't know about you guys, but I really do not want to picture the world without DDR...
But other than that, I seem to be agreeing with what lots of people have said. I miss the greatest songs from 3rd mix. Sure, these speed-over mixes are great (simply because slow songs get boring after a few hours of playing) but there's a reason why they're known as classics.
Another thing that's starting to annoy me is the lack of original songs. At least 30% of the songs on Extreme are popular songs that have been revamped and covered by DDR artists. It's time for some new, good (the key word being "good") DDR artists, that can actually stand the test of time, however long that will be. Someone who's quality too, like Naoki.
It might be cool to do an oldies machine, with only oldies, and then make a few speed-over mixes of 'em. Hey, I'm still waiting for a speedy Butterfly. Great song - too slow! _________________

| i belived we alreaedy discussed this topic already "ddr unpopular" which was about what was going on about ddr and y it was dieing out. But i guess i'll give my two cents anyway. I belive that after ddr max 2 it was pretty simple that it just wasnt interesting anymore, like once u beat max 300 or one of those songs there are nothing else. Ever good thing always comes to an end. U just cant delay the enibatable |
