here's a toss up. i enjoy the 90seconds of ddr songs. i love the 120 seconds of beatmania iidx. and i just love 5-12 minutes of my jrock genre songs (ie. X japan, Bz, Buck tick). but the 3 minute- 4minute songs, i rarely listen to them. weird ne?

I like the longer versions of most bemani songs, and of licsenced songs I first heard through DDR. Someone once told me of a 6 minute long version of Ba Kkwo. I think that'd be pretty sweet to get a hold of.

It all depends on the song, I guess. I can sit and listen to the full version of So Deep...but I can't stand even the cut down version of Kick the Can.

Know what I mean?

I'm the weird type that can listen to just about anything. Alternative, punk, metal, classical, pop, game soundtracks, J-pop, music from actual musicals, etc, etc. Heck, I even listen to marching band music (my boyfriend was in the marching band all through college and he has every single one of his university's marching band cds from when he was there). riiight.gif

I enjoy listening to the OST Nonstop Remixes of the DDR Soundtracks.

Other music I enjoy:

Techno (Hardcore, Hard House, Trance, and Eurodance)

Rock (Everything but Punk)

Thats about all I really like for music.

I a have always been a fan of electronic music, though I like all genres at least a little bit. So DDR music was a "natural fit".

I find that my that as of late I listen to DDR music more than any other type. I still like other music, but often times my CD changer has nothing but DDR CD's (3 of them) in it.

Length is no issue; I like the full version of So Deep and the short version of Kick the Can. If it's good, then I don't mind it going on and on. A good example would be Bethooven's 9th sympony, which is 18 minutes long, and I love it.

My 2 cents.

DDR music is good, but it gets old after awhile

I usually listen to Modest Mouse, Mindless Self Indulgence, Aphex Twin, Radiohead, Mogwai, and Cave In

I still prefer shorter songs, but I've gotten to a point where music is music, I don't really care what it is. Any genre, any length, I love it (except Britney Spears, etc, and boy bands)
