welcome to my world. the closest machine near me is an hour away, and if you took a survey in my school about ddr, 75% would say they have never heard of it, 24% would say theyve seen it but think its stupid, and only like 1% of them would actually like it!

all i can do is play at homa and c those arrows scrolling in my head.... E7.gif

After hitting heavy/maniac/catas the arrows will begin to go away. The reason being is the arrows are too quick for you brain to generate and picture moving up.

There are a couple solutions...

1. Play PIU and you'll be back to normal moving of feet
2. Incorperate a good dance style into your DDR-reflex, like I have, and people like to crowd around and watch me dance even outside of a DDR Machine. So basically all you need is to attract attention to your upper body... Which is good for me because I pseudo-rave/para^2/Pop'nLock/step style... I do a crapload of sliding and it looks good. However, I know that most people don't freestyle, like I do, so the usually panter and batter the panels maniac style is gone from me... So basically I don't DDR PA at a dance, I FS...

I don't see arrows, I feel them... I am one of the obsessed people, and if you read my post "reborn..." on the DDR introduction forum, you'll think even worse...

You all wanna hear insane? Herre we go...

During my english final last week, we had to write 2 essays. Well, I'm in the middle of myy first one, when a song from .Hack//sign starts going through my head. And of course, I don't even have to close my eyes, but there are the arrows scrolling up right in front of my face, and my feet were going along with the arrows.

Not only did I start laughing to myself, but I also got quite a few stares. E7.gif

Well, I do stuff like dance on little tiles and such... and I only saw arrows for about the first month I played.

But my most disturbing DDR-less moment was in NYC this past winter. I was standing on a street corner waiting to cross the street when I started randomly staring at a stoplight. All of a sudden, the streetlight I was watching changed from red to a green arrow that meant that cars could turn. Well, the second the arrow changed, I took my right foot and shot it to my right and then started singing Waka Laka... and I have no idea why Waka Laka popped into my head but the fact that just seeing the arrow caused me to step like I was playing DDR frightened me... badly...

Dude! That's funny! I've never done that, but usually when I see the arows, I'm driving, and I have to control my feet, or BAM! laugh.gif But still... I'd probably have done the same. E7.gif

Ha! Now I can just see some poor figure watching the street lights change and instinctively hitting the place where the corresponding arrow should be

The gas pedal? God forbid they're sitting behind a line of cars turning right.

Well, my foot speed goes up... I think... but it also engraves the beats of songs in my head (if I'm singing/humming them at the right tempo). Its also just something that always goes through my mind, and I cant help it. E7.gif

Boy this is scary...I would think I would have arrows in my head but I dont! And I play a lot during the weekend. Perhaps if I played every damn day I'd be turning into a Child Of the Night
