Well, you could write to mmb and hope they'll respond (they're notoriously bad on getting back to people). Just ask if they would ship to Canada and how much it would be (you'd have to tell them where exactly as that may make a difference in cost).
Both the 2" and 3" are of course out of stock - the 3" with bar you can't even backorder.
I think? they would ship to canada, but remember these things weigh 85lbs, so the shipping is probably going to cost an arm and a leg.
And on the off chance you get a bad one? which does happen, you're going to be responsible for paying to ship it back to mmb in California, then wait however long it takes them to get it back to you and hope it survives the trip. _________________

Look for something used. Nobody manufactures pads in your area (or your country) on a professional level, so it's definitely going to benefit you to look local first. A "WTB: Arcade-style DDR pad" in the DDRFreak Marketplace would be a good starting point.
I've had a long flirtation with the idea of opening up an office in Toronto. The ITG2 crowd there seems to be far more willing to put out the money for pads than people in most areas. If you do get into homebrew, or someone in your area does, I have lots of marketable designs, and I'd just ask for small design royalties. Just keep me in mind. Good luck finding a pad. _________________

indeed, since most arcades are closing down...and whats left is mainly the fighting games left....the DDR/ITG2'ers have no where to go...I think it would be a nice idea...especially with ANIME NORTH being around every year...DDR/ITG has never been more populated ...
I tried looking locally...its mainly just the Foam pads or the cheap stock stuff....its really hard to find something...even when u have the $ to shell out |

DO NOT buy from mymybox... I've been following their site for the last 8 months, looking to get a blueshark. Their forum has now been overtaken by spam, and the mods(or mod) do nothing. People are asking about their orders, and they get no response. I tried ordering a Nexen 2 months ago, and after a week the order was cancelled with no real reason given. (I asked in the forum and I got a vague response about bad address or credit card, which is a blatant lie, as I use my card at minimum once a week).
I'm looking for another company that makes good pads, but really, I think the demand is so low now that we'll never see it happen. (And yes, I own a cobalt flux. If you are looking for anything remotely like the arcade, the cf is NOT the way to go.)

For everyone who was planning to keep waiting for a 3 inch Blueshark with bar, cancel your preorder and build your own pad. Just shun MyMyBox and forget they even exist.
| blueshark wrote: | I have found out what the problem with shipment is and those of you with 3inch pad pre-orders are not going to be too happy. The first set of pads that were made used the Japan style handlebar for the 3 inch pad. The bar is half the width of the American version. This error was made twice by the manufacturer and the pads were sold off to a third party business in Europe. As for the 2 inch pad we have put in a new order for about 70 pads.
I do not have a time frame for when we will be getting the 2 inch pads in.
All 3 inch pad pre-orders will be moved over to 2 inch pads. If you no longer want the pad please email me so I can take you off the list. |

I guess our only hope for good pads is DancingTofu.

try this email [email protected] That's also who was supposed to be taking care of their forum.
Maybe he's not there anymore? But it's worth a try.
Personally, I wouldn't buy anything from mmb. Period, I just don't trust them in the least. They have to have the worst "customer support" ever.
If you get a good blueshark, you're golden. If you by chance get a bad one? get ready for the fight of your life to get it taken care of - and a lot of extra money and time spent packing, shipping to them then waiting for them to get it back to you. And you'll probably have to hound them as soon as you know they've got the pad back in their hands (in other words, keep your ups or fedex slip with the tracking number and check it every day).
I've had a direct bought from them dense foam pad nightmare from hell and the only way I got that straightened out was to call them and keep calling and emailing;
then, unbeknownst to me at the time - indirectly from an ebay seller named game4lezz - previous name IOGameGear ... which was selling what they claimed were mmb 2008 version dense foam pads, but were sending out crappy (may have even been returns?) 2006 pads. I needed a pad, figured what the heck! but oh boy, was it a mistake.
Would not respond, not to me or anyone else with a problem - check the negative feedback - and they have the gall to reply to negative feedback with things like "we replied to UR email" ... ah, no ya didn't. They didn't even respond to ebay or paypal when I filed a dispute and claim. Oh, and their address is exactly the same as mmb. Coincidence? I don't think so. _________________

Over time the panels for the Nexen can get dirty causing a bad connection. Remove the problematic panel and clean the metallic surface of both panels. Also check that the wire going into the panel you just took off is making a good connection to the surface. Peel back the Velcro slightly to reveal a round connector. Remove any sticky residue from the connector. Test the panel before putting in the screws. Do not over tighten the screws into the pad, this can cause unwanted sensitivity in the panel. Tighten the screws just enough to where they touch the panel, tighten the 1 screw thatâs on the round connector just a little more than the others to ensure a good connection.

Hello Blueshark. Welcome to the forum, good to see a rep from at least one of the companies here.
Good instructions as far as I can tell. My only issue with them is the "Over time the panels for the Nexen can get dirty" in HotBallz87 case - he's had the pad about 2 and a half weeks. I doubt, unless he's using it outside or in a dirt floor basement that the panels could get dirty enough to need cleaning in that time.
Crystallas, couldn't tell you, but I would think, just from reading here, quite a few people are on waitlists. Good luck! _________________

lol what the hell?! The first one is hilarious. They can't even pack a warehouse correctly lol
And That's hilarious that they're actually playing 3 songs on there pads to make sure they work. THAT would be the best job in the world. Get paid to play dance games all day long... I guess that's good that they're trying to keep the customers at least slightly happy... _________________

But they didn't tell you if they tested the pad on LIGHT Difficulty ;D
Of course, the best proof would be getting a AAA on Max300 HEAVY, now that would be real QC. |
