I'd say that enjoying to see people fail is a kind of sickness!
Anyway, when you're at the arcade you have no more right to use the machine than anyone else there. You don't own the machine and being better at the game doesn't give you some kind of precedence over those who have never played the game. Just let them be. I agree that playing songs you can't do at first is a good way to improve your skills, if you don't challenge yourself you'll never get better..Bleh |

I think the original poster of this thread was saying his little brother was somewhere in the middle. Brothers tend to annoy one another and I'm sure his little brother is doing it to not only get better at DDR, but also wants to feel special, gain attention and annoy his older brother if possible  |
As a matter of fact, my brother happens to be my identical twin. lol Notice that I didn't say little?
...Also, he happens to be two minutes older than I. 
I noticed a lot of very interesting discussions on this thread, (...and Aoi-chan, Cowboy Bebop is teh rox!) but I would say that my brother would fall into the Bragging N00bs section. Sometimes we bring friends along, (both on Light now), and my brother watches them and says "You can't do that on light? I can easily do that on Heavy." Where, in fact, he can't and embarrases himself, and oddly, me too. (You have to be a twin to understand... ) It just so happens that I learn faster than my brother and we are both VERY VERY competitive. (I mean it, its been years since I've even gotten a compliment from him.)  |

my friend has been playing ddr since may 2003 and i've been playing since january 2004 (he taught me how to play on basic). he's playes the game twice as much as me. i can easily get A's on 8 and 9 footers. you'd expect him to be doing catas, right? wrong. he's barely on standard. the hardest song he can pass is burning heat, and thats a 5 footer. i'm practically teaching him how to play now. it's sad.

I just think we all didn't start off good at DDR we all started playing Light or Standard before moving on heavy. I guess you still have to try Heavy even if you do fail, you have to try to succeed.
