Um its not in Japanese. Its in Spanish. Its another saying for "Hasta mallana" which means "until tomorrow". The "oww-er-saw" is used like in "smell you later" rather than "see you later".

I hope to God you were just failing at a really bad joke.

Ashita = tomorrow in Japanese. And it's not "Hasta mallana." It's "Hasta maƱana" with the little tilde.

I always thought it was just jibberish, even my Japanese friend said so when I told him the phrase. Guess my accent was way off.

I thought he would have said it perfectly considering the guy in ddr sounds like a japanese guy talking like a black man.

"Ashita ga aru sa" means "There's always tomorrow", and I didn't put two and two together when we learned a song in Japanese class of that name. I kept sitting there going, "Ashita ga aru sa, eh? I've heard that somewhere... not sung, but..." laugh.gif
