Hey there folks, I've been thinking about building my own hard pad (wooden, actually, something with a nice finish that would actually look nice on the living room floor!) but I have a question about the PS2 controller.
Are there any sites about people who built there own pads with their own electronics, etcetera? Because I would probably need to use a BASIC stamp or an 805X microcontroller to send the inputs to the PS2 in a format it would understand. |

Just get a Mad Catz digital controller for about $5 and wire the foot panels to the d-pad switches. That's pretty much how everyone else does it, and you don't even have to be an electronics engineer. Heh. |
