I was just looking at ordering some music games, and I noticed a little message about linking up drummania, guitarfreaks and keyboard mania.I've never seen this done before, does anyone know what this does/what it takes and all of that?

i don't know the specifics, but certain mixes can be linked via cable for "Session Mode" which basically is just two machines playing the same song, DM for drums and GF for guitar, KBM for Keys. I've never seen it, but i heard it's not as fun as you'd think

GF5/DM5/KBM3 are linkable for "Super Session."
GF6/DM5/KBM3 are linkable "Super Session."
DDR Solo Bass Mix is linkable for battle play/team battle.
DDR Solo 2000 supposedly is linkable as well, although I've never seen it, or screenshots of such.
DDR/IIDX Club Ver. are linkable.
PPP 1st Mix Plus and 2nd Mix are linkable.

I knew about the rest, but I didn't know about DDR/IIDX Club Versions being linkable. Cool. I really want to see that now.

Guide to Session Linking

That should cover just about all the technical details you need to know for GF/DM/KBM.

You must have a relic.

My computer is about 5-6 years old, and PDF's load up perfectly fine.

thanks a bundle...
I'm still a bit confused, though, about a couple of things. Is the hub included or not? it seemed like the document was implying that its included with newer DM units, but Im not sure. Also, where do you get the session disc? is that included in something or what?
thanks again for the help

As far as I know, any machine advertised as "working" will include the hub if it's a version that requires it. And I honestly don't know about needing the CD for the hub if you aren't going to play Session. But again, if the machine is said to be working, then it will have it if it needs it. As always, pester the seller as necessary. Heh.

???

I was under the impression that hubs aren't sold anymore?

And I think only DM10 is the only one so far that absolutely requires the hub to play, regardless if it's linked.

I've think the requirement began around 4th Mix, and I've heard a few stories that seem to support this theory.
