AM-3P and Dance Dance Revolution. I believe those are the only 2 songs that any gamer can name which game that came from even if they've never played DDR before.

Brilliant 2U- says "jump jump jump DDR" in it

AM-3P- if you listen to it, you can hear "D-D-R" said at the begining right as the arrows start coming.

B4U- Also says "DDR" in it

Dance Dance Revolution- Duh....

Superstar- Says "DDR Bass" right at the begining

The thread is which songs "define DDR" as a game/genre/pastime/etc, not which songs mention the letters: DDR. I hope you don't think simply saying the name of the game in a song makes that song perfect to convey what DDR is all about to someone who has never seen it before. We're talking about the mechanics and sound of the game and which songs best represent that.

I know. My answer is the same. It's just all the songs that define DDR for me happen to say DDR in them....

For me, it Waka Laka. I mean listen to the words.

Quote:
Waka Laka's a thing to play forever
Just to be together (Just to be together)
Waka Laka's a place to be forever
Waka Laka love and fantasy

(Waka... Waka... Waka...)

See Waka Laka when you need a flight of fantasy (fantasy)
Ecstasy (ecstasy)
Rhapsody (rhapsody)
See Waka Laka when you want a love so tenderness (tenderness)
Waka Laka make you fly

See Waka Laka when you're going to feel so sad and blue,
Just for you, never blue
See Waka Laka and a funny bunny'll free your life
Now it's Waka Laka time

I wanna live (I wanna live)
A brand new day (A brand new day)
Go far away (Go far away)
To Waka Laka place
A Waka time (A Waka time)
To feel so fine (To feel so fine)
A Waka Laka flight

Waka Laka's a thing to play forever
Just to be together (Just to be together)
Waka Laka's so magical and tender
Musical and wonder fantasy

Waka Laka's a never ending story
Glory, glory, glory (Glory, glory, glory)
Waka Laka's a place to be forever
Waka Laka love and,
Waka Laka love and,
Waka Laka love and fantasy

Its seems to me that Waka Laka can mean anything and that anything to me is DDR. I can play it forever, just to be with friends, And its a musical and wonder fantasy.

B4U (any version)
Paranoia (original or Survivor)
Max 300
DXY
Healing Vision (Angelic Mix)
Absolute (to a slightly lesser extent than the others)

Those are the best DDR Capturing songs in my book.

A song that describes Dance Dance Revolution aye?

I must say the song Dance Dance Revolution, cause it says "dance dance".
Also the lines "move your body".

Here's some food for thought: What about Midnite Blaze? How long has it been around, honestly? Everyone loves it, right? I mean, it keeps coming back on newer mixes, and people still love it, and why wouldn't they? I think Midnite Blaze is *the* ddr song; but there's definitely room for debate. Altough, I don't see anything except B4U, Dynamite Rave, or Super Star as acceptable answers, particularly Super Star.

Im sayin' Max 300. in DDR Max, it was the fastest song ever and the only 10 foot song (that i know of) at the time. it then set the standards for Maxx Unlimited and The Legend of Max and other 10 foot songs. so im sayin' its the one and only song that truely defines DDR.

Cartoon Heroes (Heavy)
It's the only song that combines every element in DDR into a 1:30 headache.
