Which song really "Defines" DDR?

I think Cartoon Heroes is the best song because...

We are what we're supposed to be
Illusions of your fantasy
DDR players' feet are merely illusions on the dance mat

All dots and lines that speak and say
What we do is what you wish to do
Experienced DDR players are rolemodels for people new to the game

We are the color symphony
We do the things you want to see
Frame by frame, to the extreme
Some people play the songs that put everyone in awe

Our friends are so unreasonable
They do the unpredictable
Some of our friends don't understand the obsession I, I mean, some of us have with DDR

All dots and lines that speak and say
What we do is what you wish to do
Newbies and people envious of DDRtists (love that word) wish they could pass the hard songs experienced people can

It's all an orchestra of strings
Doing unbelievable things
Again, we awe people who don't play DDR

Frame by frame, to the extreme
One by one we're making it fun
DDR Extreme, of course, and we make looking like an idiot fun. (Just kidding people)

We are the cartoon heroes, oh
We are the ones who are gonna last forever
We are the experienced DDRtists (

We came out of a crazy mind, oh

We all had a crazy moment where we just said "Oh screw it" and stepped up onto the platform

That guy was afraid to play, but he tried and is now a DDR freak

That guy was off in his own world (or doing drugs or something) and when he started playing DDR it brought him back down to earth

There's still more to come
And everyone will be
Welcomed at the toon (toon) town (town) party
There are still more people to become obsessed, and everyone will be welcome as a DDR freak

OK, I don't know about all of you guys, but that moved me.....

Umm... D2R. Thats a good one. It seems to convey the style of music DDR is all about.
B4U, and especially that new mix on it. Same reason as D2R, I guess.
Brilliant2U Orchestra groove (I havent heard the original). That song gives me a positive feeling whenever I play it.
Dacne Dance Revolution. Geeh, I wonder why..?

The first three songs are like, the theme songs for MAX2, Extreme, and Max, respectively. You just gotta love 'em.

Think about the name, not just the tune.

The frequently-mentioned candidates would be good themes, though. Even though several are. I'm just shocked nobody's even mentioned "HYSTERIA" or "SUPER STAR" yet.

Why is Everyone saying Butterfly? In my opinion their is not a more annoying song on the game. I just dont see any point what so ever to it.

Dance Dance Revolution (the song) I'd have to say. Just because it incorporates many of the famous steps from other songs such as Afronova and such.

What SetsunaKira7 said about Cartoon Heroes was very well analyzed...especially considering it's deficulty. My personal choice would be the Legend of Max. I just think that song throws everything in a can, and presents it as "Hi, this is DDR, and this is how hard it is!" Especially, "THE FEAR!"

I really like that cartoon heroes......(round of applause)

And for me, it's that "I do I do I do" song... and I have no idea why. I hear it and I think "omgosh must go to ruckers like omg NOW." I think I'm just used to hearing it in the background as I'm sitting at Ruckers

AM3P, Dance Dance Revolution, Butterfly, Dynamite Rave, Burning The Floor (momo mix?).. Ionno. Maxs do work too I now that I think about it, but it's not something I would have mentioned right off the bat.

The definition songs of DDR are the songs of 3rd mix. A good mik of danceable songs and songs at the time made people go "WTF?" More importantly, the music was just better and not trendy trance or stuff that is easy to get sick of. Besides, My Fire, Kung Fu Fighting, Afronova, Gentle Stress ~AMD sexual Mix~, thats the true dancing sound

B4U, is THE song that gives a perfect example of DDR. If not than then D2R i would say.
