The title says it all. Some threads now cause a pop-up window which I must cancel twice in order to continue.

For example, the "Do You Hate It Like I Do?" thread currently in Chit-Chat gives me this pop-up every time I view it:

I do not have this service, nor any other online chat thingee.

I may have found the problem though. On pages 1 and 2 of that thread, there are posts by Young Link whose avatar and signature are linked to the below addresses: (Caution: Clicking on them brings up a repeating pop-up box.)

http://www.msnusers.com/mypicturesofthings/Documents/zelda%5Fgcn%5Fsubfeat.gif
http://www.msnusers.com/mypicturesofthings/Documents/noflash%5Flogo.jpg

On page 3, there is no post from him so the pop-up box does not occur. It does occur on pages 4 and 5, because another user, !Sakura! also has images linked into msnusers.com's space.

Coincidence? I think not. The pics show up as red X's and when I right click on them and say "show picture" the pop-up window returns, and only one cancel is needed to get rid of it.

You guys may not have noticed this if you all have this passport thingee or whatever. Then again, you might have been perplexed by it but unable to figure it out.

Now, should I have to get this passport thing to stop this from happening, put up with clicking 'cancel' all the time, or should this domain for images be not allowed?

Could we have a link to the thread(s) in question and/or the user's profile. You can send them in a PM if you prefer.

No problem. Here's the link to page 1 of the thread in Chit-Chat.

Here's the link to Young Link's profile. Note the location of the avatar (right click, properties). The pop-up box occurs here for me too.

Here's page 5 of that thread where !Sakura!'s images are causing the pop-ups. Right click and do properties again on them: they are also from msnusers.com.

And to !Sakura!'s profile, click here.

If you already have this "passport" these pop-ups may not occur. This isn't any deliberate attempt at sabotage by these users! Don't get me wrong: It's when the computer needs to fetch the image from msnusers.com is this pop-up box returned instead seeking a password.

Hmmmmmmm along the same lines. May not be MSN but I have a yahoo thing similar. And YES i do have Yahoo, sometimes I wonder if it has something to do with it...? But your situation has nothing to do with MSN you said. Very interesting..=
