Press Left and Right (selection buttons on the machine itself) at the same time < do that 2 times. Then you'll be in ABC order. Go to the K section, press select, and it'll be those 2 Japanese letters. enjoy E13.gif

Yeah for some reason, you have to put it in ABE order to get the entire list of All the songs....

And nobody knows why... E2.gif

Or you could also just go into the listings by game and check under the "max2" listing. It will be listed there too as the 2 kanji in between whatever other songs are in the j,k,l area.

It doesn't list all the songs on normal sort mode because with all 300-ish songs it has, it'd take years to scroll through the whole list.

Any sort mode other than the default sort or "Players Choice" will show all songs. By mix (Kakumei is DDRMAX2), alphabetical (K), BPM (around 150, I think), and... is there a sort mode I'm forgetting, or did I cover them all?

Like what the others has said, you got to press on the 2 yellow arrows to view ABC, BPM, Player's Best and so on to get Kakumei or any songs your lookin for. All you'll get at from the start is 8th Mix songs and some songs from the previous mixes. I didn't know that until playing it a few times... laugh.gif

248 songs total. All displayed under sort by game as well, which IMO is the only way to browse it E15.gif
If you have to do it alphabetically because you don't know what game it's from you shouldn't be playing it E13.gif
(PS: Konami fucked up, Kakumei should actually be under Beatmania IIDX not Max2)

I don't know about that. Kakumei feels more like a "DDR song ported into IIDX" than "IIDX song ported into DDR", no matter which machine contained the song first.

...so next you're going to tell me that MAX300 should be listed under Beatmania IIDX as well?

Kakumei was ported from DDR to IIDX, not the other way around.

Just change the default song selection to BPM since thats the only way to see every song in the game without using sub-menus.

If it's tricky to hit both arrows at once (on the machines I've played on at least, you have to be pretty much exact) you can also press Select while holding both arrows down to switch listings. This also works for going backwards if you accidentally picked the wrong thing on the mod screen.

Ok...when the songs aren't allocated
(Via:)
Sort Series
ABC
BPM

-All of the songs are NOT selectable.

Instead...

-When you press the start button, select you mode of play etc.

The song list comes up.

...when that happens. Press the glowing left and right arrows. (THey'll be flashing green) When this happens it'll sort.

Press it once it'll go by

"Sort Series"

Press it twice it'll go by

"ABC"

Press it three times it'll go by

"BPM"

Press it 4 times it'll go by

"Players Best"

You'll see kakumei on the DDR MAX 2 Sort Series

You'll see Kakumei on the very first song on ABC (Via Letter K)

And BPM I'll be in there somewhere. (Though maybe players best if it's on there and people have played it)

It's there...trust me now go out there and get less than 10 greats on it
