I have songs on a USB memory card I use for ITG2 in the arcade. The thing is, that some of them will work on the arcade machine, and others will not work. I have checked all of the files using the stepmania editor and they all work fine in Stepmania on my computer. Some will work on ITG2 but others do not and I am having trouble figuring out why that is. Its getting frustrating I have tried a lot of things to try to get the ones that aren't working on ITG2 to try to get them to work. (Example: I tried changing mp3 files to ogg files (since most of the ones that do work on ITG2 are with ogg files it seems) but that didn't work). If anyone can help me to figure out the solution to this problem that would help out a lot. Thank you.

Definitely make sure that all of the music files are in ogg format; ITG does not read mp3 files at all. But when you do so, you also have to edit the .sm document to direct to the proper music file. For example, if the .sm document says:

#MUSIC:whatever.mp3;

...you have to change that to say:

#MUSIC:whatever.ogg;

Even then, you may sometimes notice that a song won't show up when you plug your card into an ITG machine. I've found a simple solution to this: Be sure to save the song in Stepmania's Edit Mode before putting the song folder on your memory card. I have no idea why this works, but it does. (Note: You can still delete the unnecessary extra files - .dwi, .dwi.old, and .sm.old - and just keep the .ogg and the .sm in your song folder.) And finally, don't try to put more than 35 or 40 songs on your USB drive at once. The machine can't read any more than that.
