Xbox 360 - iON vs Energy

Quick question I searched the forums, but was unable to find what i was looking for.

I have only been able to find iON and Energy metal pads that say they support the Xbox 360 are there any other pads? I would be good with just a control box for my current ps2/usb pad or a hard foam pad, but I can't find either.

If my only option is between the iON and the Energy metal pad does anyone have a recommendation on which one I should go with?

you have to build a control box because Microsoft is protective of the kinds of controllers that companies are allowed to make... It would probably be better to build a pad than to buy one and rewire it

so when they say with "controller" they are giving you a actual 360 controller and expecting you to rewire it?

no. Microsoft doesnt allow random companies to make controllers. Red Octane had to pay a royality a make the guitars, the xbox 360 controllers have security chips in them. Microsoft did this so there wouldnt be hundreds of controllers on the market.

but yeah either you have to have a wired 360 controller to use a pass thru so the 360 thinks the dance pad has a security chip in it or build your own dance pad out of a controller

building your own dance pad isnt really hard just read the tutorials on this forum
