We're all getting Rick Rolled. How did they get I Know You Want Me on there when the song just came out this year?

Watch all the songs really be "Never Gonna Give You Up".

I know no one is ever on these forums anymore, but if anyone cares, they've finally changed the name of the game from Dance Dance Revolution to DDR X2 on the ps2. It's still just Dance Dance Revolution on the ps3 and xbox360 though.

I don't agree with you. Why do you think so?
If I look at the pre-order box: http://www.ddrgame.com/dance-dance-revolution-ps2-ddrx2-game.html Then it's still Dance Dance Revolution X2.

The thing that changed is that they dropped the name "Dancing Stage" in Europe and changed that to Dance Dance Revolution. (which they should have done from the beginning though....)

I think you read my post wrong. That's what I'm saying, is that the ps2 version USED to be "Dance Dance Revolution" , and just recently it has been changed to "DDR X2"

THEY'RE DROPPING THE DANCING STAGE BRAND?!

Well it's about bloody time.
I mean I love the whole series, but "Dancing Stage" just doesn't carry of much as a recognisable hit, especially when it's always advertised as Dance Dance Revolution.

I'm MEGA keen for this release too. Fingers crossed it's a universal release, rather than the usual half assed american/japan then 2 years later european/oceania release....

It looks like Gamestop has this moved to a January release.

http://www.ebgames.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=74827

I have Universe 3, and was thinking about getting the DLC packs for universe 1 and 2 (although it would be cheaper probably just to pick up the games used).

Will any of the Xbox 1 origonal Ultramix series work on the 360? Now that I have my Hard Pad working on the 360 im hot to trot.

Oh, look. The first cover art since Extreme 2 not to have a voluptuous woman vaguely stepping on arrows wearing high heels.

...As long as X2 isn't delayed, my PS2 and I will be waiting.

You know, I kinda get the feeling that oceania won't get DDR X2, because of the fact that we didn't get the original X.
Which is kinda disappointing.

In any case, I'm keen to see how the games fare when and if (and a pretty big "if") they're released in NZ and Aus.
Personally, I'd consider both a ps2 and 360 version, depending on the songs on each. I have a hard pad for ps2, but I could wire it double to a 360 pad with a bit of work. Only if the songs were good and plentiful to make me want to switch or combine though. As it is, the promise of 150 dlc songs doesn't really hit me too hard, because microsoft makes them so pricey. Over here, 500 points costs about $8, which gets you around 3 songs.

Having said that, the arcades are even more of a ripoff, because $2 gets you 3 songs that you play once then can't play without another $2. So I'd probably buy home songs over a trip to the arcade.... disturb.gif

Damn you lucky Americans and your prompt release dates and cheap videogames... E13.gif
