I've gotta pad (title_^) that craps out ONLY with In the Groove. Works fine with any other PS2 game. Soo...would that mean the pad's wired wrong or that it's crap? I've a MadCatz pad that works just fine.

Anyway, that's weird man. Nothing like that's ever happened to me. Maybe a control box issue?

I have had such bad luck with every MadCatz product I've bought...

I'm just throwing this out there, but maybe you're stepping on the corner buttons without having them disabled in options?

NEVER EVER EVER buy MadCatz. My first dance pad came from them and it stopped working in only 2 months.

uh...you guys are missing something here or I'm typing it wrong. E13.gif

The problem mat's the Red Octane In the Groove mat. It works in every PS2 game just fine, except In the Groove (haven't tried DDR, 'cos I don't have it). In ITG, the Start button 'sticks', so you can't start the game, it just keeps flash-cycling back to the logo screens.

The Madcatz mat works just fine (yeah, cheap crap, but I got it for $5...no worries there). Which makes this even more bizarre.

I was wondering if anyone's ever seen this before.

what i would do is plug a regular controller into your ps2, go into options, and change the "pad type" from controller to dance pad, AKA turning the corners off.
