ok so i have some crap metal thing from ebay... im looking for

A: what should i put in with the arrows to keep them from sliding because they were cut like... 5 MM short on each side...

B: On my PS2 when i start up the pad works but the up, down, X, O buttons all do nothing and Left & Right register as the select button does and brings me back a screen...

i can deal with the noise of the sliding panels althought im sure they will break soon it was a cheap pad... can somone please tell me how to fix it though?? if not is the metal ION worth buying at all??? it costs like 500... and i cant get a CF with a bar so its my next option

First mistake. You most likely got a fucked up pad, Ebay is not a good place to get a pad. It would take some annoying buttocks wiring to fix it, but it's not worth it imo. You pretty much got burned dude =/. Also, don't EVER, EVER, EVER get the ION. It's such a shameless piece of shit, totally not worth $500. Get a CF and build your own bar. The bar on the ION will break within two weeks.

Uh, has it ever worked? It sounds like you got a pad with an incompatible CB. It's not impossible to rewire, but probably not worth it.

As for the panels, you can put a thick layer of acrylic paint on the edges and it will reduce the sound to a "thud" rather than a "clank". Your pad's probably too shallow for anything else to work.
