Konami announced yesterday on their DDR Online Community site that their e-AMUSEMENT service is finally coming to American Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA2 machines.

The service is first coming to the SuperNOVA2 machine located at Brunswick Zone in Naperville, IL, and is expected to begin making its way to SuperNOVA2 machines across the nation shortly thereafter. Thanks go to DJTyrant for passing this bit of news along to me.

For those unaware, Konami's e-AMUSEMENT service is an online service used with a multitude of Konami's arcade games, including Dance Dance Revolution. The presence of e-AMUSEMENT on a DDR machine allows for, among other things, score tracking and saving, internet rankings, tournament results, and most importantly, unlockable content. The e-AMUSEMENT service previously being restricted to certain Asian countries is the reason why the USA arcade release of Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA2 has yet to see any unlockable content, but Konami's movement to bring the service to the United States will finally give us the content that we have sorely been lacking.

I don't do this often, but FIRST POST!

It's about time, Konami. Just make sure it goes places other than Brunswick Zone, 'kay?

What difficulty level do you usually play? Beginner, Basic, Difficult, Expert, or Challenge (ONI)?

I also hope other places like GameWorks (anywhere USA) and other video arcades and entertainment gaming centers is taking notes.
