Hi
I'm a Japanese and I know my English is bad. Sorry.
If you don't care about it, please read it and reply.
I want to know the name of a playstyle that a player turn his back on a screen.
In Japanese, it calls "Hai-Men Play"(Hai means the back, Men means the front). But I don't know what it should be called.
Please tell me it's name if you know. |

If you're talking about only for a short time, like only for a couple arrows, this is called "crossover". It is called this since your right leg crosses to the left side of the pad, or your left leg crosses to the right side of the pad, when you do it. Your body tends to turn away from the screen when you do this.
If you mean he turns his back on the screen for the whole song (or large portions of the song), then he is playing the song backwards, or reversed. You should just say "He played the song facing backwards." (or mostly backwards) |

My friend (he played it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjW714NZ4S8) wants to renew its explanation for people in other countries and asked me what his playstyle called in English.

Wouldn't it be [DDRFreak "he" youkoso]?
Since this is the internet, I don't know if the Japanese define it as a "place" or not. If it's culturally defined as a "place", then I think it would be "he", but if not, i think "ni" works.
I'm curious...
If I'm wrong, machigainchatta ka nou~... no biggie. |

That always impresses me. I always keep my eye on the screen.
So, no hop spins either. _________________
