Yup, a CD collection of Bemani's most memorable songs is gonna be on a huge 5 CD collection to celebrate Bemani's 10th year! Disk 1 had Beatmania/IIDX, Disk 2 has DDR, Disk 3 has Pop'n Music, Disk 4 has GF/DM, & finally, Disk 5 has a collection of music from Pop'n Stage, Keyboardmania (YES, Pink Rose is on there), Mambo A Go Go (so basically, Gamelan De Couple), Dance Maniax, Para Para Paradise, ee'mall (YES! Neji no Hito!), & Toy's March.

There's 185 songs, people. Songlist. 35 from BM/IIDX, 39 from DDR, 41 from Pop'n, 37 from GF/DM, & 33 from the misc. games.

Extra songs announced on other posts.

It's finally released. According to red shoe paul on Bemani Style:
red shoe paul wrote:
It's pretty hot, all the songs flow together track after track really well. The booklet has a nice history of the Bemani series, and what dates all the arcades came out on.
I asked if the songs flow like a Nonstop Megamix CD.

Check down the page for my review.

How much's it cost? (Probably an arm and a leg, or more...)

EDIT: nevermind, I think I found the price... it's only about thirty bucks? Is that right??

Converting 3,000 yen to US dollars came to about $26.

If that's the price, I'm definitely getting one.

Now you can preorder on Play-Asia. It's $40 (plus $5 for shipping), but for $8 or $9 per CD, that's a great deal.

I hate to say it, but despite the fact you get 185 songs, you can get most of them on the internet, sadly.

But it's just... the fact that you own it... It makes it worthwhile. At least for me it does. riiight.gif I'm a company's dream come true. I just like to own the things, all the little things no one cares about... like Pop'n keychains... erm.gif

2 songs added.

Butterfly is added to the DDR CD (CD2) &....Sunshine Dance?! It's from that Dance 86.4 (Funky Radio Station) game.....Yeah, I thought so. Strangely, both songs have NOT been added to the CD listing....

They might. They're still announcing songs, like I posted yesterday. I mean, do you know how many people would be mad if Butterfly, one of the 1st & most popular songs didn't make it?

unless its megamix/remixed, its totally not worth it. at least for me, i already have pretty much every bemani song on my computer anyway.

to be honest, if you want a REALLY good CD, go get Dancemani Treasure, the 2 disc aniversary cd. its probably my current favorite album.

Infinite from GF8th/DM7th has been added to CD 4. We're now at 188 songs. I'm hoping we can get up to 200.

Honestly, I might ask for this as a present, despite I have no CD Player & most of what I like is already on my MP3 player. Also, the cover.

Yay, comes out next week.

Guess what? I got the CDs yesterday. I've listened to all but the Pop'n Music collection CD. If anyone (or on BemaniStyle) wants pics of everything (I'll even post pics of all the pages of the booklet), then I will. Here's my opinion on each CD:

Disk 1 (beatmania/IIDX):

-Since I've hardly heard any beatmania songs (original, not IIDX), I'm not gonna into the "what I wanted" stuff. Aside from 2 songs, it's all good ("LOVE D RIVE" by D-Crew is awesome)

-You'd think V of all songs would be on it, but nope.

-Why is Ballad For You on there? & ya only putted SigSig from IIDX Happy Sky, but not Xepher? & just Z-I-V from DistorteD (though I'm glad)?

-Only 1 CS song, & it's PHOTONGENIC. Meh. Would've liked something from DistorteD's CS list *coughGobeyond!!cough*

-Would've perfered Wonder Bullfighter over Freezing atmosphere (same artist)

-Monkey Dance & Cradle? Why?

-Gold Rush. Awesome.

-Only 35 songs? Could've added atleast 3 more songs...

Disk 2 (DDR):

-Almost half the songs are CS (19 out of 40).

-No B4U. Huh...Also no original Trip Machine despite 2 remixes are on there.

-Nothing from 4th Mix AC. Only Groove, which was 1st on the CS version of 4th Mix.

-Hottest Party songs aren't that great. Plus only Volcano from SN2...

Disk 3 (Pop'n Music):

-Um......Wow. I'm sorry, but there's just not much to mention here. The only songs I really liked were the ones that appeared on GF/DM, IIDX, &/or DDR (well, those & cobalt, the Asaki song, My Gifts, Ubertreffen, & the Pop'n 15 song)

-Votum stellarum is very long for a short song (about 2:40), so I'm not sure if it's long or not. Can someone check?

Disk 4 (Guitar Freaks/Drummania):

-SO MANY GREAT SONGS MISSING. I mean, where's a Classic Party song? Model DD series (we did get Day Dream, so yay)? & WTF isn't Model FT2 (despite Fairy Tales still made it, which is awesome) & Children's Sketchbook on there?! Despite those, almost every song is awesome (aside from like 4, 1 being explained later)

-Only 1 song from V2 (over there). Seems hardly anyone cares about V2...

-The ONLY long song is on this CD. & it's SWEET ILLUSION. Konami, Konami, Konami...*shakes head & facepalm*...Do you know how many better long songs you could've used? I mean, there's both Riff Riff songs, Classic Party Triathlon & Revival, Akai Suzu, Used To Rock & Roll....I could go on.

-Despite you show GF/DM V4 (like on the main cover & on the pages full of Bemani posters), there's nothing from it. Perhaps Jake In The Box could've been on?

Disk 5 (Other series):

-Mahou no Tobira was from Pop'n STAGE? & Shiritori & Vitalize, both of which are on GF/DM MS Silver & Gold (in that order) originated from Keyboardmania? & Wall Street down-sizer, also on GF/DM, originated from Mambo A Go Go? Huh. Neat to know that.

-Just one ParaParaParadise song? Could've added atleast 1 or 2 more....

-ee'mall is awesome, w/ 10 songs. & seeing as every ee'mall song I've played (i.e Pop'n 9 & GF/DM MP Silver & Gold & V3) are on there, sweet. You've got almost HALF the original ee'mall songs (there's 12 & you get 5), plus 1/4 from the 2nd Avenue, awesome. Wait.....AITHON?! Where are ya? You could've replaced 1/6billionth, the only one I didn't like!

-I see why Toy's March didn't last long after hearing that...Though since there was only 34 songs, the least amount of songs on any of the disks, I felt like they could've added atleast 3 more.

Well, that's it.

Are they megamix style, or just cut and dry songs?

They're not MegaMix style. BTW, my review of Pop'n music is up, plus some extra stuff.

BTW, go here for pics (Pg. 3 has pics of the booklet).
