|
|
I was just listening to a challenge TV show in the province of quebec called Le Moment de Verité and they announced for next week an itg challenge.
The show is taking some randoms participants who subscribed for the show and they gave them a selected challenge they need to succeed live during the tv show. If they succeed they win some prizes.
Next week, the participants will need to succeed passing Utopia hard with a 75% score on a basic soft pad. Of course the participants will probably have never played ddr or itg. They have 1 week to practice for the live challenge.
I was surprised about that challenge. What are your predictions ? Usually participants are normal adults ranging between 20-50 years old. I really think this will be hard to succeed in a week for someone who never played a dance game.
It took me probably 5-6 months to get at least to that level from the complete beginning. Good luck in a week ... ! |

I think the biggest hurdle will be the crappy pad they make them use. _________________

Well, of course, because we are here. But the odds are pretty low. I would estimate about 1 person on 2000 adults between 20-50 years old actually plays ITG enough to pass 8 footers. |

75%? Pretty hard for a person with barely any experience.
I see newbs at the arcade can hardly get that on novice.
This is gonna be hilarious.
Next they should have "DDR players make sudden shift to ITG." _________________

This is gonna be so sad.
Though it's possible...if they whore it all week long, I should think. _________________

YouTube, definitely. I need a good laugh now and then, or a surprise. _________________

I don't get it. Why? That's not that entertaining.
Not like watching people who don't know how to play ITG stumble all over a crappy pad, trying to pass an eight on hard. |

I don't see how it's any more entertaining than watching people play DDR/ITG normally.
Except maybe with a bit more cursing: "Ah shit! I hit another damn mine!" |

Well, they will play live for about 15000$ of prizes if they succeed. It is saturday night on Radio-Canada. The show is called Le moment de verité and it is a french speaking show from the province of quebec. I don't really know how to record it and post it on youtube from the tv. Any way with a rca cable and a laptop ? |

Because DDR is easy and the players will be overwhelmed by the frequent use of 16ths. I have nothing against DDR players starting to play ITG. Its DDR fanboys that refuse to play it because its "too hard" that I wanna see get humiliated. |

No, it'll be: "This game is fucking retarded! I hate it! Stupid DDR ripoff."
Actually, shurf got the point! He wins!
