Hello I'm new to DDR and would like to have advice and information from the veterans about a few questions to enter the DDR world. I didn't know in which board to post since I have many questions so I decided to post here (sorry if it's the wrong board).
I want to try and be a hardcore DDR player and I want to burn calories with DDR exercice. I am very new to this domain and I seek advice. I have read some stickies but some of them are very long and unfortunately I don't have the time to read them all (college, gym, exams, etc).
I read enough to know that I want a cobalt flux. My questions are:
-Am I making a good choice by going with the cobalt flux instead of another DDR pad? I want one that ressembles the ones in the arcade. I do not have time to read every single review for every kind of pad there is so I need to know which pad people buy the most.
-For the arcade-style mod kit, should I buy it if I want to get the most "arcady" feel of DDR? or is it not worth the money?
-Is the official CF site the best one to buy from or is there cheaper prices elsewhere?
-I heard the CF is only compatible with ps2, any way to make it compatible with xbox and PC and maybe the wii? All the adapter mumbo jombo is not clear to me, isn't there a very good adapter out there that can support all consoles (with no delay/lag problems) or should I just buy, if it is possible, another control box for xbox/PC/wii?
-What are all the must have DDR games for ps2, and PC? (money isn't an issue, I can have them all) And what game should a newbie like me start with?
-Any other accessories/things I should buy? I heard about applying, before even using the pad, some acrylic/plastic oil (I don't know the exact term) so the CF pad is more resistant to wear. Anyone can shed any light on this?
Thanks very much in advance. |
