Its no secret who I am referring to, but someone needs to get banned.
Certain posters who admittedly troll are just here to piss people off. They don't contribute, they waste bandwidth, and without an ignore feature, they can be a huge pain in the ass.
No one would miss them, and it would make the community a better place. The point of warning points and bans are to make the forums a nicer place. It seems natural that any way to make the forums better should be included in the rules regarding warning points. If not an auto-ban (which most people I'm sure feel) then at least a massive 6-7 point warning to get the message across.
So what I am trying to get to is:
PETITION TO MAKE TROLLING A BANNABLE OFFENSE:

ITT, gasm uses trolling as too broad of a statement for anyone to know what in the shit he's trying to get people banned for.

How about people who purposely try to annoy the hell out of people, and even admitting it. As well as admit to postwhoring.
I think it's pretty obvious in this case that a ban is required.

The kind of posts I'm getting sick of are the kind that either quote someone with no feedback, quote someone and say QFT or say lurk moar.
That post does not contribute in anyway I can see to the topic, it only contributes to someone's post count. |

the problem is that the mods cant read everythread (and are once again atleast short handed in the sections i do go)

Well, I thought about this one real real good. It isnt the brightest idea I have come up with, but what if you designated a forum where only that kind of behavior was allowed. It would be one of those "enter at your own risk" kind of forums that required no moderation.
This could cut down on the trolling in the other forums. But it would also require that a new person who signed up in the forum needs to be a member of this site for at least a few weeks before he or she can enter the flaming forum.
So please, go ahead and flame this idea

EBT hinted at it, but back in the day we used to have a flame forum. It worked out alright at first but eventually it spread outside the forum to other areas and thus was axed.
Of course, if the Bemani Flame Forum was brought back...that was fun.
