Also ITG players aren't going to switch to this game because of a extra "Superb" timing... think about it... 4 panel players stick to 4 panel games because they absolutely refuse to learn to play 5 panel... trust me... most DDR/ITG players are extremely loyal to their control layout and can't even be convinced to try other dance games like Dance Maniax or Pump it Up... of course there are a few exceptions but a few exceptions isn't going to make this fly off the ground.... especially if the pricing looks anything like this :
ITG2.

You're missing the point. How can you compare your scores to everyone elses when there's no standardized timing window, or when the standardized timing window is so huge that it doesn't matter? Suggesting we just magicaly gain access to the operating menu to change the timing window doesn't solve the problem that the timing window is huge in pump and itg players don't like that.

Aren't you just playing to play against people in your area? Obviously there is always someone better than someone else so every area shouldn't matter. Pump it Up has had a timing window a bit tighter than DDR Supernova before... it was removed. People didn't care about a tight timing window then... but like I said, you could easily do that in ITG2 also... by changeing the life bar settings... and for godsakes... why do people think ITG2 has such a tight window... it's just as lenient as Pump it Up Exceed... if your going to make an arguement about this... these are the things that you should be highlighting instead :

-the fact that PIU doesn't have individual highscores for each song instead of ranking being about all 4 songs you played... wait... what thats about it?

Mmmmmm..... that is something that i've never liked about piu, also in the first version never liked that a few songs you can only played on certain modes, also, the "freestyle" mode is not so freestyle, and i wish that piu has something like the Little Mode

I just hope this gets a home release. Something else to use my PS2 PIU pad for! I really didn't like Exceed PS2 that much -- I found the lack of high scores meant I just didn't get excited about playing, even though I could print out a list and keep track that way. Somehow, I doubt this game will have that problem.

I would love a good home release as well.

And it would be fun just to play again without high score worries.

Well, looks like singles. *and freestyle is still doubles, but premium doubles is sweet, agreed on that* play for me on freestyle.

BTW, any idea of a partial songlist?

It's about time we got a decent dance game with that song.

It was one of the only K2 songs not effed up by retarded jumps, but...yeah. People know not to do that now.

No, its a different Sunshine. I don't remember who it's by, but it's a pretty funky house tune.

I have a question: from the looks of it, would you (the DDR community) rather play DDR SuperNOVA or PIU Pro? I know a lot of you guys like ITG and PIU, so what's your thoughts on this possibly replacing a DDR SuperNOVA machine?

PIU Pro since the stepcharts are overall better (from what little I've seen) and you can progress in skill beyond what DDR (and even ITG) offers, so I'll have that when DDR 9's bore me.

If the songs are good, and the pads are the same good quality, I might jump on Pump Pro more. Only because it seems easier to manage/navigate than PIU.

Supernova wasn't that bad, but...

I'm just hoping it doesn't get destroyed by stompers....

I think I'd rather play PIUPRO. However, I am far better at DDR than PIU, and so DDR has many more options, while I can't do higher level charts in PIU. It limits the amount of fun I can have.

If I were as good at PIU as I am at DDR, I think I'd definitely go for PIUPRO. As it stands, I've played 3 games of DDR Supernova and ~19 games of PIUPRO. Of course, it could just be the novelty of PIUPRO at the moment.

Of course, at the moment, I prefer ItG to everything. It will be interesting to make a comparison when I get better at PIU.
