What parts, songs, etc. of Dance Dance Revolution have nostalgic qualities about them for you?

Look at Us, Living in America, and Long Train Runnin' remind me of my days as a 9/10/11-year-old when I would go to the small card/game store in which I played Yu-Gi-Oh! and first learned of Dance Dance Revolution. Those songs were all played excessively on the Dance Dance Revolution MAX 2 machine at the store, and they were a few of my favorite songs on the game at the time. Call me weird, but it is at times almost painful for me to listen to those songs.

The song Jerk It Out reminds me of playing on the SN at Jilly's Arcade in Ocean City because all the slut/bitch girls played it OVER and OVER.

Butterfly was the first DDR song that I ever played, so everytime I hear it, it reminds me of the time when I was whoring it on beginner.

Everytime I hear it it reminds me that I want to punch whoever selected it.

I agree as well. Although I admit, I've played it once within the last year.

Back before I ever really knew what DDR was, I went to the arcade with a couple of friends and watched in awe while this guy was doing doubles. Really spastic, now that I think about it, but I was just amazed. A few months later, Konamix was released, and I thought it'd be pretty cool to pick up so I could be like that guy in the arcades. Now every time I hear Butterfly, I think of that.

And now every time I hear .59, I think of when I first learned how to read the arrows on my playstation controller. Oh, good times.

Edited to fit my own experience.

Also, If You Were Here (B4 Za Beat Mix) was the first song I beat on Maniac, so whenever I hear it, it reminds me of the moment 30 seconds beforehand when I constantly said, "I'll never be able to beat this song!"

Hearing the main part of Absolute takes me back to my first day of playing; the arcade was right next to a food court so I also get reminded of the smell of food from Panda Express and some Italian place mixing in the air.

Dam Dariram was the first song I ever heard played, a few years before I actually started playing myself.

Speed Over Beethoven was the first song on Light I ever played, and passed that first time.

Love Love Shine was the first Standard song I played and passed. It is also the first AA I ever achieved on Standard.

Remember You was the first song I ever attempted on Heavy, and I also passed it, although barely since I didn't use any speed mods.

Silent Hill (3rd Christmas Mix) was the first Challenge song I ever cleared. This is also the first AA I ever got in Heavy/Challenge.

Those five songs mean a lot to me, as they are something of milestones.

RANKING 1 from DDR 3rd Mix was the first nonstop course that I cleared when I was a newbbie on DDR.

First Light song passed: Dream a Dream

First 10: Sakura

First Heavy song passed: Kind Lady (also first song I ever played at the arcade and first AA. I love this song)

Jet World and tloM remind me of the good ol' days playing at the Rec Station with my boyfriend. E1.gif

B4U (B4 Za Beat Mix) reminds me of how me and my two friends COULD NOT pass it for the life of us when we first started playing about 2 years ago. Now, we're too good for it lol.

healing vision(angelic mix) was the song that i loved as a newbie, but couldn't play it and thought i'd never get it.but now i do it back on light mode, and it seems so easy, so that song makes me remember back to when i first played the home version of ddr.

Boom Boom Dollar and Shock! were two of my firsts, so whenever I hear the former (I just don't hear the latter anymore... *snif*), it gives me that little tinge of nostalgia...

BRING IT BACK ON THE NEXT ARCADE MIX DAMMIT!
