You're expensive.
But wasn't most of the work in the design more than the actual construction?
'cause you wouldn't have to redo the design every time you make the pad.

For instance, a DT500 custom has a $150 design and service fee (unless I decide I like you), while a DT500 standard just has a $50 service fee, because they aren't really that hard to make.

Unfortunately, no.
Although we'll probably be making our first one MUCH sooner than expected.
It will be designed specific to an ITG2 Dedicab pad in size and appearance, but with a somewhat different sensor design.

that's one SICK looking pad. (minus the sides, but who cares?)

i must say, the quality of that pad is just insane. Since it was your girlfriend's gift, i guess you 'poured out your heart' in making it =)

Wow, I am really impressed. I haven't been this impressed with a home pad since ever.

I'm looking to copy your sensor design... could you tell me how far away from the square's edge the screws are located? And maybe what type of screws you used?

Thanks in advance!

The foam is positioned so it is right up at the edges. The screws are evenly spaced, and about half an inch in from the foam.

All that's important really is 1) the screws aren't so close to the foam that the foam folds over and covers it when you step on the pad, and 2) the metal contacts on the plexiglas line up with the screws.

The screws were Pan Phillips #10 x 1-1/4" Sheet Metal Screws, from home depot. Large, rounded, metal, unpainted screw heads is what matters

I know it's your thread but why did you bump it?

But anyway how's the pad holding up? Still working perfectly?

On this board, 15 months is pretty much a week on any other board on the internet, so it hardly counts as a bump. E15.gif

jk lol, but how is it doing? Had to replace any bulbs? Is it keeping clean? Are the buttons (specifically the ones on the bar) staying in good shape? etc
