I also have a problem with my Stepmania. For some reason, for the first time, thescreen keeps on flickering back and forth and back to the center. I thought it was my WINXP theme on and I changed it. I reloaded SM and found out that it wasn't the XP Theme, so when I fiddled around with it for about 2 hours, I got it fixed. but then I had another problem, my sound is waaaay too distorted! I was wondering if anyone can help out with that. Either if I should reinstall it and see or should I get SM4 instead?

Don't try 4.0 (for now, anyway). It's only in its beta stages and doesn't work as well as 3.9 and 3.95.

The 4.0 is been beta for pretty long. I wonder when it will become the mainstream.

The SM team has said they currently have no plans for making 4.0 the "official" release.
