Anyone else play DDR in your family? Do you find it strange and awkward that they do so? Post it here biggrin.gif

While in California for 2 months, I started teaching my 3 cousins how to play. The oldest being 9 years old would go with me and play Extreme in the arcade. The other two: 7 and 6 played at home on my soft mat and controllers. When I left, I left them a copy of 5th mix since their Playstation is modded.

My brother plays. He's just now breaking into the 9-footers.

My mom played a few times. It was funny. She kept saying "left... down... right...." to herself. She got all the way through lesson mode and then just kinda quit playing.

Brother- Trick/Maniac player. Go to the arcade with him a lot. He's always trying to compete with me, and gets very happy when he beats a song that I can't.
Sister- Basic player, plays with on keyboard since she injured her foot.
Parents: DDR challenged, have played a couple times.
Dad: Thinks it's easier to use BOTH feet on arrows and jump from one to one. He hasn't passed anything.
Mom: Passed Bye Bye Baby Balloon after around 10 tries.

I play... of course..

My sister plays.. or played... well, she's taken a break from it for awhile, but she's around 5 feet now...

Mom has tried it multiple times.... gets D's on Remember You light laugh.gif

Dad won't play it but he thinks that it's a great concept and applauds people who play it.

I got my mother into playing for a little bit. She got through the training mode and played a few 1-4 footers, but has since stopped due to her knee problems. I tried getting my brother and sister-in-law to play, but they just played for few songs and then called me a dork. E1.gif

My mom and brother played once at Mesa Golfland. It was fun actually. They were on Beginners mode though.

My Husband and I (We are both in our early 30's) both play as well as our 5 yr old son. We are all on light/standard/beginner mode but, my husband has started passing some songs in trick. My 5 yr old can pass most 4ft songs and a few 5's. I am stuck on 5 ft songs in light mode. I have also gotten my Niece, brother and, sister in law playing as well as three of our neigbors. I have a two year old son who has no idea how to play but, he sure loves to try! None of us are Really good at it but, we have alot of fun playing E4.gif

My little brother (9) used to play all the time, he USED to be able to do catas (9 footers), but now he usually does or at least passes 6 and 7 footers. He says he doesn't like DDR anymore frown.gif

My mom played, sorta, she finished lesson mode on USA Mix when I had it, and developed a liking to Put Your Faith In Me, she played a little at the arcade (very little) then stopped.
