Taken from 1up, Kotaku, and IGN:

-Over 55 songs
-Play any of the three tracks available for songs: Rhythm, Bass, and Lead
-Multiplayer co-op lets you select different difficulties AND whichever track you please, for a total of two tracks playing at once
-Practice Mode available, possibly by looping a particular section you wish
-Comes out this Fall, will be shown at E3 2006

I am so mad that I can't get to E3 this year. I'm missing so much, this included. =(

2 tracks playing at once will be confuzing, and highly retarded.

I think he means that you can do like, Bass and Lead together on 2 player mode. Not like two separate songs going together. :X

that would be funny though....like, one song playing on the left-side speaker of the tv, and another song playing on the right-side speaker.

direct from ign

May 4, 2006 - In the midst of announcing, to everyone's shuttering shock, that Guitar Hero II will be shown at E3 next week, RedOctane also revealed a teasing sample of the new game's 55-song track list. So, without further delay or unnecessary drum soloing, here are the songs announced so far:

"Arterial Black" by Drist

"Psychobilly Freakout" by The Reverend Horton Heat

"Strutter" by Kiss

"War Pigs" by Black Sabbath

"Who Was in My Room Last Night" by The Butthole Surfers

"You Really Got Me" by the Kinks, as performed by Van Halen

"YYZ" by Rush
In addition to announcing these initial tracks, RedOctane revealed that the new Hero will feature returning rocker Judy Nails along with a new Rockabilly character.

Stay tuned for much more when we rock the E3 show floor.

Here's hoping they throw a demo out so that we can do with it what we've done with countless DDR demos...look at the files within and see if they give away what's in the game. E15.gif

For what it's worth, the E3 songlist was completely different than the songlist of the version I play-tested a few weeks ago. But of course, that songlist was "not nearly final."

Could be some interesting stuff. E1.gif
