those pads are wonderful, I used those at a friends house and they are amazing, but it was a japanese imported version though and it felt like it had solid metal in it _________________

the quality of these pads really depends on the sensor layer above the foam. I bought pads from this seller except they were using soft foam instead of hard foam and each pad lasted a day.
After that I started getting random boos and misses and then after a while ghost stepping. And at that time i was playing light heavy songs. So beware that's all |

I got similar pads off ebay and they work great. Although I have an afterburner now I still occasionally use them if I hurt my foot orif company comes over. I have actually passed 9 footers on these pads including some on ITG. They actually make doing ITG hands much easier than a metal pad. Problems include fast 16th streams and jackhammers - they are harder to pull off on these then on a metal pad. |

I think alot of these threads could be eliminated if you guys would just read the sticky by Cutriss about soft pads.

He's right. A soft pad may work for a while, but in the end a metal pad will last longer. I have destroyed three soft pads so far and that is why I have decided to save up my money for a Cobalt Flux pad. |

yes - this pad will be great for you - however, if you're a beginner, i would recommend max2 instead of extreme 2 - simply because it's much easier to unlock the songs.
but whatever you do, make sure that it sayd something like "hard foam" or "high-density" foam insert. soft foams last 30 mins. I would know - i own 2 in the back corner of my storage room. $45 down the drain.
Once you feel like you can pass 6 or 7 footers on standard or heavy, it's time to let them go and get metal if you are still serious about playing the game. _________________
