RedOctane and Radio Disney have teamed up to bring demonstrations of In The Groove to malls across America. In addition to ITG demo stations, the events will also feature science stations to educate kids about health care and sports stations to teach kids about games and activities they can do on their own to help promote fitness. Also available at these events will be $10 coupons for purchasing ITG and the official ITG pad together.

RedOctane® along with Radio Disney and Simon Brand Ventures are organizing family-oriented events focused on health and fitness around the country. This fun, interactive experience will offer an estimated 50 million people an opportunity to learn how to get fit and try the video game that actually helps you get in shape, In The Groove.

There will be dance stations set up to encourage kids to try In The Groove for the PlayStation®2. In addition to the dance stations there will be a sports zone activity area that introduces kids to new ideas of sports that anyone can play! There’ll also be a science lab activity area that introduces kids to the gross and disgusting facts about bacteria and germs and then provides educational tools to learn how to combat them.

If you’re interested in witnessing the health benefits of In The Groove first hand then head down to Radio Disney’s Feeling Groovy Mall Tour!

I don't think Konami is going to like this. Radio Disney is pretty big so ITG might get a lot of promotion from this.

Haha thats funny! I wonder what Radio Disney (the Station that I only listened to when I was what, 7) will bring to the Groovin! I would like to see what its like, watching younglings trying to dance, but I am busy that day, and it only goes to San Francisco once.

I don't know how well this game will appeal to young children. Every kid I've talked to who has played says that they prefer DDR to ITG.

Yeesh, it's only there for four hours per location? They need to slow down, they move too fast. They've got to make the morning last.

(I wonder if anyone will get this...)

I'm sorry to say this, but Brea Mall, Laguna Hills, Mission Viejo & Westminster Mall are not even close to Los Angeles! But if they would have said Orange County, then I would agree on that! Is that a trip or what? Please reply, over! Thanks!...

I was just visiting the mall in Orange Park (Jacksonville) , FL and got asked to come down to JCPenny and check it out. lol It was ok. Except they had ITG being played on an Ignition pad and a regular soft mat. There was an Afterburner on display, but not for play. I thought it would have been better to display the Afterburner in action instead of the soft/Ignition pad. However, I don't run Red Octane so what do I know. :-/

I did think it was cool that the higher ups of Red Octane were traveling with the promotion to see reactions. Gave you more of a sense that they care about the product.

Pretty neat over all.

Why are they avoiding Los Angeles?

Repeat:

Why are they avoiding Los Angeles?

So like, we were complaining how they wouldn't be near it for their first tour and NOW they completely overshoot it?
