|
|
I am wondering if I bought a Konami soft pad, and modded it (w/ the plywood and plastic floor covering), how much better would it perform?
Also:
1. Would I be able to A-C 8s and 9s better? (Note: I have A'd Celebrate Hvy. and B'd Jet World hvy. on a soft pad, but would I do better?)
2. Would the modded pad be good enough to BS or barely pass Max 300.
3. Is it more accurate, or about the same?
4. Again, would it perform substantially better?
Thanks for your thoughts on this!!! |

The only way you would perform better from a softpad modification is if you suffer from problems related to the pad drifting or scrunching up.
No, it will not make you better, no you will not AAA Max 300, no you will not be the next freestyle king. This won't make you better, it simply makes the pad better, which may improve accuracy, but nothing too significant.
Although it can improve your scores, make it feel more substantial, extend the life of your pad, or even improve the enjoyment out of DDR, it will not make you invicible.
P.S. I would highly recommend modding the softpad, otherwise it will die really soon. |

it might raise your scores, depending, its not that you will be "better" but you will be getting the scores that you should have been getting all along, i.e. no more "Pad miss"
So if the reason your scores are bad, is because you get 99% greats, thats not because of the pad, and modding it wont fix that, but if your scores are bad because yor pad misses beats, then yes it will help your scores a small amount. |
