Suddenly my TI-83 finally seems like $129 well spent. And I have most of the songs on my mp3 player anyway, so I won't miss a thing.

Won't you have a problem with the memory though? I have Snake on my TI-83 plus, and after a couple of level, it runs out of memory, and until that point, it's always slower and slower.

Well, than the person that made it sucks at programming. E15.gif It should be fine. I couldn't see how mine could eat your memory like that. You don't have to worry. E13.gif I'm at school right now, so I'm not exactly programming. I'll give something out later today.

well if its written in ASM then you cna find any number of programs to run it (or you could get a TI emulator)

I'm sure you guys want to eat me, so now I might as well put out something. It has no gameplay because that part is still too unstable. However, this sample has the main menu and the song selection menu. You can switch between songs and choose a difficulty, but as soon as you press enter, it exits the program. This is mainly for show purpose. It is reccomended that you read the text file so you know how to use it. E13.gif

I can realease the rest of the game once it is working correctly. Have fun looking at this. nerd.gif

3) is it going to play w/ the arrow keys or 2,4,6,8?

Of Course.

That is for another, future version. That is kind of difficult right now.

I could try to make it work with both. It is much easier to program the arrow keys, but I might make it work with the numbers as well.

I am currently working on making it adapt with MirageOS. However, you do not need MirageOS to run this program. I'm doing it for the lazy people that dont feel like typing out Asm(prgmDDR306).

That reminds me, I want to make a cool image to display in MirageOS. I already made one, but I'm sure somebody can think of something cooler. PM or IM me with a 15 by 15 pixel image in black and white if you want me to use it. I might even give you credit. E13.gif

Looks beautiful. This is without a doubt the best DDR released for a calc that I've seen, I cannot WAIT to play MaxX/Max300 on my calculator! But it's just so realistic and awesome, and not unbearably slow (even on the song select page).

Hehe if you could, could you release it by thursday, that's when I'm out of school E4.gif

EDIT: I just found this quote on the first page:

That would be greeatt.

No...not really... The game is slowing making its way to completion. I'm not a super genius. It might be a while. It's a lot harder than I thought it would be. erm.gif

Of course there is plenty new. I simply can't give it away in it's unstable and incomplete form. Don't worry, I have been working on it, along with like 50 calculator crashes. If I did have anything new, I would surely let you all know. I feel like I have a ton of bricks on top of me. erm.gif

GARYsurvivor probably has this thread subscribed to post updates, and in any case, I'm sure he can find his own thread to bump (or ask me to find it) in the event that he has anything newsworthy to add to it.

Just be patient, guys.

...o_o

I've been trying to code DDR on my calculator for months now, with no success. Since math class is rather boring, I've been spending all my spare time in math class trying to code this. I use a TI-83+, so this will be great.

Also, I'd agree that, if you can, coding the arrows to match the numbers would be far easier. You could probably even code in Solo Mode, if there's any good way to render diagonal arrows. E1.gif

(Edit: Does anyone have any sources where I can learn assembly? I can't seem to find any. E2.gif )

just wondering, is x86 asm any different from TI asm?

if it's not, or if it's not hard to transfer between the two, do you think it would be possible to make a Menuet release? that would be cool!
