I found it peculiar that i found some relationships:
i.e. Hand of Time can be somewhat like Healing Vision.
Any others that can be made?

Da Roots and Bag sound similar.

Banzai's stuff reminds one of RevenG.

THAT part of Bubble Dancer Hard is quite similar to I Do I Do I Do. Also notice Crispy VS Creamy hehe Krispy Kreme.

I never play this yet (since no ITG2 where I play), but I recall seeing a video or something, I think Monolith is quite similar to HVAM, even more so than Hand of Time, it's like, it's slow (49bpm, just like HVAM) in the beginning until the first note (then hits 196bpm, just like HVAM) and then it had that exact same slow down on the last note.

Oh, some more I remember...

To me anyways, Kagami sounds like the Long Version of So Deep (you know, with the quiet part and all).

Drifting Away's Title... sounds like Drifting Away lol.

Pandemonium ~ Maxes (and Gamelan de Couple music-wise? laugh.gif )
I personally think Mythology ~ PS/PSM cuz both have somewhat easy beginning + death run at end.

Of course, it's been said many times The Beginning ~ PSMO. Hm... I guess that's all I got.

Right I still have difficulty passing Maxx Unlimited. I was wondering how this song compares with ITG's 10's and possibly even elevens.

In terms of how the songs sound:
Energizer ~ Maxes
Hip Hop Jam - La Senorita (but lots better)
Little Kitty Mine - 1, 2, 3, 4, 007
Amore ~ L'amour (it has less technical steps... and is much more eurodance-y)
And of course: My Favourite Game, Bumble Bee, Tough Enough, Follow the Sun/Sunshine, and Typical Tropical have all appeared on DDR (in some form).

I can't think of any songs with steps comparable to MaxX on ITG1, but it would probably be considered an easy-midrange 11. Euphoria requires some of the same skills, but the stepchart is very different and MUCH more difficult.

MaxX would still be a 10. It's easier than a lot of ITG's 10s.

Which ones? Is it harder than Disconnected Hyper, Charlene, and Utopia? I'd say so.

Except Charlene and Utopia are 11's.

Not that that really changes much consider I think of Disconnected Hyper as an 11 E10.gif

I'm trying trying to justify MaxX as an 11... so I'm comparing it to 11s. Difficulty unit discussion is not only offtopic, but pointless. Let's forget the whole thing, ok? E7.gif

Houou: Disconnected Hyper is pretty tame for most of the song, nothing tricky except some fast 16ths near the end. Utopia is easier to pass, surely. I'm only talking about passing the songs, so forget about Foy's rhythmic challenge. Charlene... it just is. Long slow 16th runs, and some mines in inconvienient spots. It doesn't require much stamina compared to other 11s and even some 10s, and for the most part Charlene is very predictable and not the least bit tricky.

If MaxX was in ITG it would have been a 10 of medium-difficulty. I'm positive it would not have been an 11. And how is it harder than Disconnected Hyper, Charlene or Utopia?

Agree entirely. It may be harder to score then most 10's, but not harder then Utopia.

Mythology is much harder to pass then Maxx, and mythology is deservedly a ten. The only DDR song with 11-claims is PSMO.

It's completely objective, so lets drop it. If you're able to pass MaxX with a B, you should be able to handle quite a few of the ITG 10s, and maybe an 11. We can agree on that right? I've never had difficulty passing 10s or 11s on ITG, and it's been a long long time since I had to struggle to pass anything on DDR, so I might not be a very good judge of which is harder to pass. Don't listen to me. E15.gif

Depends on what you mean, to pass or to score.

If you mean score then yes, you are quite correct, but Utopia is harder to score.

If you mean pass then no, and every 11 is harder to pass.

With PSMO you can make a claim based on it being harder to pass.

The only hard thing about Disconnected Hyper are the fast machine-gun groups that come near the end and some of the mine placement. I think people like to pretend that songs should be rated higher because they like them. When talking about difficulty, one shouldn't put his or her love or hate towards the song into it while deciding what foot rating it should be (not that it's not pointless anyway). Besides, when talking about difficulty there are so many things that go into consideration... Is it purely technically difficult? Is it hard to read? Is it musicaly and rhythmically challenging? Etc. etc. So it's impossible to argue these points due to the vastness of the subject and each person's personal viewpoints, abilities, and experiences. This should go for all future discussions such as this one in the future. (btw if you do compare the complexity of MaxX to Disconnected Hyper combining all musical and technical things, MaxX is objectively harder. I hate MaxX and love Disconnected Hyper but I stil acknowledge that MaxX is harder.)
