started 2 years ago, approx right before summer of 2002.
after mocking the game for about a month, i've decided to try it (outta curiosity), turned out really fun. played alot at home, then tried it at the arcade, beat Kick the can as first heavy song at the arcade.

about 1 year'ish later, failing Max songs, get about 100+ greats on every song

now, refer to NNR in sign for scores.
funzo.

OMG I saw this thread and had to post. Probably because I have one of the weirdest stories of how I "evolved."

I started playing DDR goofing off in an arcade, and I was hooked. Jumping around like an idiot on light "Boom Boom Dollar" was my favorite song to make an idiot out of myself. Eventually, I had the guts to try a couple standard songs like Brilliant 2 U and Twilight Zone on Max2. Then I saw a guy playing doubles... that got me.

I started playing doubles. Kept playing until a local laser tag and arcade opened up around here. I was having fun on light, and this guy ended up asking me why I wasn't playing any heavier songs. So I tried standard on double. It was fun, and he kept pushing me to try Holic on Heavy. I broke my leg. >< Not from DDR but from laser tag! Anyways, I kept playing DDR in a cast. doubles too. I'd play light, try standard, and eventually, I got the courage to try Holic... and passed!!! So here I was trying new Heavy doubles songs everytime I played instead of playing single and working up from standard. Gotta tell ya, it's weird to hear that somone is actually better at doubles than singles, I get told that everytime I tell it. Eventually I passed Kakumei on singles (first heavy song passed,) and that began my heavy career on singles.
