I would say El Ritmo because it was just so unique back then, few would agree.
But Afronova is a must. That was the terror song. You picked Afronova on SSR and people gathered around. It was head and shoulders tougher than anything else on single back then*. I think it struck a chord with most people who played 3rd Mix in the arcades.
*of course EOTC is much harder, but for some reason that song never caught hold. At least around here. |

I tottally agree with that comment, El ritmo Tropical was on of the most unique songs back in the day, i thought mainly because of It's latin feel, which i thought was totally awesome. hehe, as of this day, I still play it on extreme . I'd also think that Make It better would be a good song to add also. I always liked that song, It had a cool slow, down tmpo feel to it |

I'm surprised no one really mentioned Candy* or Kakumei. I mean, if they weren't meant to change the face of DDR forever, then they wouldn't be extra stages. And, as far as I know, Kakumei is the first time Konami orchestrated a classical piece of music.
Also, Stomp to my beat, since it was perhaps the first license song that a lot of people recognized (if not, then whatever would fit the criteria). _________________

Dynamite Rave, 1998, D2R, and DDR define DDR. Anythin that Naoki does defines DDR. Get the picture, Naoki does most of the songs in DDR that's why you hear his name so much!! _________________
