Well I am a guy and when I go up with a girl for my turn of DDR I go up with her as a friend, not looking to hook up with her. Then after we are done we just walk different ways thats about it. (I have a girlfriend though so maybe thats why) I would probably visit the girls site just to see what they all talk about behind our backs. _________________

Seriously... There are no girl players in any of my areas ever! Okay, I retract that... there is only one girl DDR player in any of my areas. She is good... Passed Sakura Heavy. (On a side note, she is engaged to a DDR-guy, and going to Japan this summer... So, that counts her out for a while).
But, seriously... more girls should just step up and play. It's not like people will disrespect you for trying... there really is nothing to lose!
I do like the idea of a girls-DDR site... I would hope that it would give girls the confidence to get up and try it if they are curious about it. I certainly would support any person willing to give DDR a shot; regardless the gender. I wish more girls did play, just so we could even things out at the arcades. I can't wait to be beaten by a girl... then I'd have a real reason to get better.
As for the whole gay thing... all I know is that one time I was playing with a 25-ish year old that came with another guy... and when he put it on "It's Raining Men" I almost crapped my pants in fear. X_X I sure hope no girls were watching... though, I decimated with a full combo and AA... doesn't matter; I still played "It's Raining Men" with a gay guy... ;_; The ultimate male DDR nightmare.
None-the-less... it doesn't change the fact that there are no single DDR-playing females in East Lansing! Gahhhhhh! *will be single forever* _________________

Even though I'm a guy, I'd like to help if you would like me to. I like the idea of having a DDR site for girls, it sounds cool! _________________

It seems like a big waste of time. You can find out about crap like that on a sports page for girls or something. Come on, now... Like when I was invited to join the all-girls DDR team. *shakes head* It's just a game...the 'support group' or whatever you called it just seems...@_@;...yeah. But that's your view, and you want it.
This is just my opinion. _________________

o_o Perhaps he just shifted his legs funny... sometimes pants curve weird; especially jeans. Besides, you say you know him well... So, is he a jerk, or a nice guy? If he is a nice guy, don't assume the worst... Unfortunately, most guys are jerks; but don't assume that of all of us. There are still good guys that can be DDR-Friends with girls without "sic little ideas in their head". I know that I don't have "sick little ideas in my head" when I see a girl play... first thing I do when I watch people play DDR is look at the screen, to see how well they are doing... In fact, I rarely watch people move their bodies when they play... unless they freestyle.
Besides, shouldn't you feel good that you are attractive to guys? I thought that's what all girls wanted... =/
~edit: Sorry I got off topic. I'll help spread the word if you guys (girls) decide to do this! =D Sounds like a good idea to me! _________________

I think it's a good idea, and I'm not just saying that as a Maizie fanboy. ^_^ It doesn't strike me as a 'support group' so much as one of those treehouse hangouts you might've had as a kid, or at least seen on TV. The support network is just part of the "club."
I say, go for it! _________________

Well, for those girls who want to know how to look good playing DDR...WHY? The guys who don't play just think it's stupid and the guys who do, don't care if you get sweaty...o_O;; They'd be hypocrits and not worth your time even if they did.
Personally, I don't wear make up, I'm a tomboy and people probably think I'm ugly, but I play DDR for fun and for fun only....I don't think it should matter if you look good doing it. _________________

Yeaaaah.. if you're so ugly how come so many guys hit on you >_> besides Riji, I'd still hug ya, sweaty or not ^_^
Majority of guys probably wouldn't care if a DDR playing girl is sweaty or not anyway! |

OKAY, bringing it back on topic...
I don't agree with having a site that is "just for girls" who play DDR. No matter what, you'll be taking all females that play a game and stereotyping while putting a big fat label on us. Even if these are "good" stereotypes, I don't want to be represented that way.
Now, if you had a site that had reviews/message boards that were categorized, ie; DDR Clothing (Mens reviews and womens reviews), that may be a little more advantageous because I only wear mens' clothes when I play for the most part (baggy Tshirts and some sort of sports pants).
Also, some sort of "report" section would be cool, that had like male and female perspectives on songs, characters, and bios about players that are female and male who are well known within the community. I mean, why segregate it?
The thing that is missing from most websites is the inclusion of female perspective. And rather than EXcluding male perspective, why dont you just create a site from a female perspective and include the female perspective that is usually missing. _________________
