was looking to get back to playing ddr at home. Feel a little to old to hang out at arcades anymore. Was looking at getting the TX2000 metal pads with the bar.... it looks like a pretty thick metal pad. Just wanted to know if anyone has any opinions on it. thanks

Any pad that's bought on eBay, aside from ones that aren't being sold by people who are obviously pad "dealers" (i.e. use only stock photos and word their descriptions like advertisements), is a bad decision. This includes TX-anything. This also includes pads from sites like ddrgame.com. From everything I've heard, they don't feel much like the arcade, they have bad durability, etc. Pretty much the only option anymore aside from building your own is the cobalt flux. It doesn't feel exactly like the arcade, but with the arcade mod (you can order it with the pad) it's close enough for most. The website is http://cobaltflux.com . I hear these haven't been as good in recent years, but to my knowledge it's still the best one you can get.

They suck. I bought one years ago... (like 5 or 6 years) It broke within the first month. The arrows cracked, the sensors only worked when they wanted to, and eventually stopped working. The only thing good about the pad was the fact that I got a nice frame to make my own out of, but it required alot of work.
