i hate itg just because of the whole "note" arrow thing. not even the vivid mode helps me on that game

didn't ddr come out FIRST?!?!?!?!?

hahahah thank you...geeze. i dont think ddr sucks hahah i think...itg is just a huge mcfail of a game that one up'd ddr by putting in a memory card slot. bigfxingdeal

maybe one day ddr will be like, "ohhh, so THATS why" and just put a slot in..then someone will have to hack the machine.

I don't get how or why some DDR-exclusive players are elitist. But of course itg doesn't bring much new if you can't reach expert difficulty (and only slightly on hard).

I'm pretty sure there were DDR players out there wanting to play harder timing windows or songs/charts. Stepmania satisfied it to a degree, but those DDR players followed ITG.

I don't see any elitism here. I just see DDR players whining at the ITG players. Whine at us.....you'll never be better at dancing games than us. ITG is gonna be a slow slow slow decay, because the ITG community wants to keep playing and push limits. Hence Team Murder and the almighty Team Dragonforce.

ITG and certain stepmania builds have similarities. Hence having USB slots makes it easy to hack. I'm not a wiz on this stuff, so correct me if im wrong.

DDR has like...PS1 memory card slots. I'm pretty sure there's a USB slot in the computer in the cabinet. If im not mistaken.....DDR uses some weird mutant japanese stepmania to make their game. I also believe the music format is like an encrypted MP3.

I mean knowing how easy it is to just take out the comp and but in another one, load SM, do the work to get credits, sync pads, add songs and presto SM cab.

O wait....thats not DDR.

I don't feel elite because I play ITG, I just hate when DDR players insult it and never have any reason why DDR is better. Coolperson, you've talked down to all of us ITG players saying we're young kids who played ITG first and thus think it's better(which anyone who brings up age this much has to be around the age of 19 and think they're adults now). I'm 24 and started playing really early versions of DDR, and Grumbles is in the same boat as me. I mean, ITG has better/more mods, unlimited songs due to r21. (btw you know all those songs you play on DDR can be played on an ITG machine lol) If DDR had those things of course I'd play it, I have nothing against DDR. But DDR fanboys wont play ITG for no particular reason and like to insult it. So I mean just one little reason why DDR is better will do, convert me!

I used to play DDR before ITG came out, and actually stopped playing when it did. But after a few years I reluctantly started playing ITG, and now there is no doubt in my mind that ITG is a better machine overall. And if I really did miss DDR (which in all honesty I don't), I could just throw some songs on my flash drive and play it on the ITG machine. Yeah, DDR came first, so what? Does that automatically mean it is superior? No. And I agree, I would love to have a reason why DDR is better, the ITG players in this argument have stated why ITG is better time and again, and the DDR players have nothing, besides the fact that they came up with the idea first. Big whoop. Oh and before anyone starts bashing ages again, I also am 24 years old, and played DDR long before ITG was ever around.

i dunno, ITG's sub-par music, gimmicky/stupid charts, and design that a 7th grader with photoshop could recreate, just might have something to do with people disliking the game.
