I've decided to invest in a metal dance pad (have had multiple soft pads wear out), but am unsure as to what I type I should get. I don't really want to spend over 150 on the pad, but don't want to get anything utterly crappy. Does anyone have suggestions on what pad I should get? I've looked around, but don't know what is good. thanks.

For $150 you could try a homebrew pad which could run you about 120-30 all depends on the materials you use. You could also try an Ignition 2.0 if you can find it, 3.0 sucks.

I checked into that one, but not only is it a foam-insert pad (which I've had before and refuse to go back biggrin.gif ), but its by RedOctane, hwich has a reputation for having sucky pads.

There's a homebrew for every budget.

Build your own! $130 for parts and the time to build a mat will get you much more than $130 will on eBay. I'm saying $130 because thats around how much it costs to make a ddrhomepad or Riptide mat

couldnt have said it much better laugh.gif
except you might want to plan on spending 150-200, BUT that would probably cover the materials for TWO metal pads, for a total of 75-100 each

also, a 150 metal pad is pretty much crap if it's store bought IMO

Currently, there are no metal pads under $200 worth buying.

That's what I'm trying to change.

Until then, enjoy your homebrews. xP
