Ok so i go to chucky cheeses to play pump it up and i notice that these pads are so f.ucking sticky. I assumed it was just kids spilling soda all over the pads, but to my horror i realized that the extra stickyness comes from kids pissing on the bathroom floor, stepping in it, then walking all over the pads. I noticed drinks don't even go near the machine since i'm the only one who plays it. I found this out because one time i had to use the bathroom there to change my shirt and i could actually hear the sticky sounds coming from my shoes, same sound as when i play pump. really freaking nasty......anyway the b.astards there won't clean the pads when i ask them to so i was considering using somthing that would work well because the pads start out way too sticky, then from my sweat get super silppery. any suggestions? or I sure as hell won't do another song w/ hand plant again E10.gif

I have sort of the same problem at the place I play most of the time. The people there use Windex..but it creates a very slick platform (in my experience). My suggestion would be a simple soap/water mixture. I use that on my CF at home and it works wonders.
If they will not fix the problem in your arcade, simply give the bottom of your shoes a quick rinse with water. You should find that your feet perform better on the pads this way. And you get that cool squeaky sound E7.gif

Tell the manager about it. It's not your obligation to keep their property clean.

That's the opposite of my (and others') experience. Cleaning pads with Windex/Fantastic/whatever generally improves traction. At least on Pump machines.

That's for grip/traction, silly.

And on a side note, why is it that all these kiddy places get Pump it Up?

eh windex didn't work to well...it made it very slippery and even worse when i sweat on it. I bug them all the time to clean if off for me but there frick lazy so i have to take matters into my own hands. I don't exactly know why cec gets pump it up, they have a deal w/ andamiro but it would seem more reasonable for cec to get DDR because DDR is just a childs toy. I'm glad one place at least carries pump, i could f.ucking care less where it is.

theres a few reasons why CEC probably carries PIU.

1. when they made the deal, DDR wasnt available in the US.
2. PIU machines are far cheaper than DDR machines(GX NX=$8000, DDR SN=$16,000)
3. andamiro machines require less maitanence and you directly talk to the company that made the game for customer support.
