This guy knows his stuff, so the pad will probably look amazing, be durable, and perform like you wouldn't believe. |

Internet Ranking?
USB memory support?
Which gameplay mechanics are being supported? (IE - freezes, freeze rolls, mines, hands, quads, etc)
Gameplay modes? Single/double/versus/attack are all confirmed, I see. Anything else?
Which modifiers are supported?
Is the cabinet itself network-ready? Or are bumper-packs installed via some other purchaseable medium?
The LED thing kinda reminds me of what some Beatmania cabinets do with their neon tubes on the monitor, with blue/red/purple flashes depending on your step rating. I assume the LED lifebar will be way more elaborate than this though. |
1.Yes
2.Yes
3-5. Let's just say we are introducing some new stuff, more info will come later.
4. Still unsure. We might make the the cabinet itself network ready for Internet Ranking purposes (we do have the creators of SMOnline on this project, however, it would be up to the arcade owners to actually use the system). The bumper packs at the moment will be CD-ROMs that the arcade owner just sticks in the cd drive and the unit automatically reads and adds the tracks to the hardware. We will have a VERY powerful hardware system in this machine. Ask CNLohr for more info on that though. _________________

Quads?
Timing?
Ranks / Scoring system?
Extra stages?
2D (DDR) or 3D? (ITG) |

We paid up-front for the SAIFAM tracks. Moonlight Rave is by DiGiTAL Maestro (DM Ashura) _________________

So you don't have to give DJ Taka any recognition for Moonlight Rave? I mean, it is M.
Not trying to be contraversial here, just wanting to know how this stuff works, but it is definately funny that this may be the same situation DM Ashura talks about with Energizer, but this time He's the one with the copycat song(which I like better than M). _________________

Taka did not make M.
If I may make a suggestion, make the vocal intro for the word Toxic more intelligible. Sounds pugh. |

Wait, Really?
*Checks Stepmania*
Hmm....
Who made it?
I changed my mind about it though. It isn't M. The piano is the same, but there are clearly different rhythms.
But who made the KBMP M? _________________

OK A lot of clarifications:
Internet Ranking - Unavailable at start. Will show up shortly after release.
USB Support - Yes, even in promo machines. BUT: It will not have full support initially. Once we're ready, the memory card system will be very ITG-like.
Networking: SMLAN Ready out of box, Cabinets will never support SMOnline-like play. While it won't be available for the end-user... for events, people will be able to link them togeather. Imagine This but way cooler.
And M and Moonlight Rave: Stolen from LVBheetoven ask any dad. Sonata suasi una Fantasia "Moonlight" Op. 27, No. 2. |

Agreed. My prediction in that regard: good steps, really bad customer service.
Customer Service: "Thank you for calling the DanceTrax support hotline. For quality assurance purposes, your call may be monitored or recorded. How may I help you?"
Arcade Owner: "I'm trying to set up my new cabinet but the monitor isn't powering on and the sound is very--"
Customer Service: "SHUT UP! You are the MOST STUPIDEST person on the PLANET and I hope your entire family dies of CANCER!"
Arcade Owner: "But I just bought this new machine and it's not--"
Customer Service: "I just lost all respect for you! Never call me again, n00b! Now taste the bitter sting of my angsty teenage wrath! TASTE IT!" *click*
Arcade Owner: "Hmm... maybe they should've put somebody else in charge of training the phone reps..." _________________

I'm interested.
However, I have questions (Keeping in mind that I have no idea how far you've progressed with this project.)
1. Difficulty: When you said new difficulty type besides block rating, I immediatly either thought of Percentages for a difficulty "lifebar". Am I close?
2. How is the difficulty in comparison to DDR? ITG?
3. Are there gonna be new types of arrows? Or is it the same old freezes and normal steps? _________________
